I have a feeling summertime camping is going to be much more enjoyable and more family friendly then the winter camping and will be looking forward to seeing the whole family enjoying and making some good memories this summer!

For those who don't know, Subaru AWD system can't be beat. Some aren't aware eithert, ALL Subaru vehicles, even the cars, are AWD. If you see a Subaru, it's AWD. It is a full time AWD system. Some claim it should be called a full time 4wd system. Not So and here's why... So like when you'd talk full time 4wd trucks like 70's and 80's truck, they do have a full time transfer case, so you have driven power to the rear wheels, and the front wheels, but each axle is a differential so really it's 1 wheel drive in the rear, and 1 wheel drive in the front, UNLESS you have lockers in the axles, then it's a true full time 4x4. The Subaru system is all 4 wheels are powered at the same time, all the time making it a full time AWD system. I'd say if a Subaru can't get there, then nothing can. No, they are NOT rock crawlers. They're made for go up or down any trail whether it be rain, mud, sluch or snow. As said, if the Sooby can't do it, not much else can unless it's on tracks. Anyway, not a Sooby fan at all, but you simply can't argue with their AWD system. So there's lesson of the day. Bummer no heat. This is why I tell people, ALWAYS need a back up heat source. NOTHING is perfect or fool proof. Also why in my bus, I AM NOT removing the factory heaters. Not the driver heater core, not the heater core in the rear either. I"m incorporating those heater cores into the build with a closet over it. enclosing that lower section with foil backed foam board and a grate over the front facing the center isle so the fans blow the hot air to the center isle of the bus and heat the back end, and extending the ducts behind the driver seat to the center isle to heat the front and center of the bus. Yep, I'd have to start the bus up to get the heat, but in an emergency and I need heat to keep people alive and keep my plumbing from freezing, then I'll start it up for the heat, and top off my batteries at the same time with the DC to DC charger. Also have heat while traveling and not have to use other power sources like propane or diesel fuel. The OEM system heats up the bus FAST. I've had better luck with the cheap Vevor diesel heaters than you. Running 3 of them, my bus, my dad and my daughters RV's and they are all working just fine. The big trick is, put anti gel treatment in the fuel if the tank is outside. Also keeping the fuel pump insdie at the correct angle helps too. I have fixed 2 diesel heaters that I told people to get so they help be accountable. It was their install error of the pump on both of them.

I'm not prepared for that kind of weather because I never want to be in it as a nomad. Lol. The whole point for me is to escape the worst weather patterns. I'm done with both the extremes. 😋 13:10 mark: Holy cow! That's some serious snow driving!

Definitely need to email the company about replacing that heater . Maybe its just a faulty one or maybe time for a different more dependable brand of heater . You have given it multiple trial runs to know it is not gonna work out ! Backup Mr. Buddy Heater and a heavy blanket stored in the truck is a must !

Will the camper company not replace your heater? you would think it would come with a warranty of some kind.

Most heating systems have a high limit switch. you can't run a heater without a cool down cycle. Sometimes you need to just find a maintainable temperature setting that will work and let the heater cool down and restart?!

If the camera is cold keep it cold and when you bring it inside put in a bag to gradually warm up.

Isaac ... seems to me you've had one failure after the other with that heater. Sounds like a lousy product to me.

Time to say bye-bye to that heater and go for the warranty. Do you think the pop-top camper is a fail or just the heater? If it's this bad in cold, what will it be like in the heat? 🤔Your buddy did som fancy trick spins there.

Here's a Tip. Get a strap and wear your GoPro on your forehead. That way we can See what you're seeing when you're boarding, instead of your backside. I had to fast forward because looking at your legs was just....boring. Also, with all the stands you have for your musical instruments, I'm sure you could rig something up for your GoPro inside your camper. Thanks for the video.
