When the same people show the same exact failings over and over with zero improvement then you're left wondering to what degree are we talking about "failings" or willful negligence and corruption. Many government officials and similar people in influential positions CAN be and often ARE bad. youtube basically has a monopoly on what they do and with a giant like google backing it i wouldn't be surprised if there has been some stifling of other services like it. It's already incredibly sus that so many videos on channels with hundreds of thousands to millions of subs are getting incredibly low views and that bigger companies are almost always promoted (i've gotten video suggestions from CNN despite clicking multiple times to not recommend channel and that im not interested in this content). It's a fucked system we're in and there won't be any change about it unless so many more people start demanding change

There are competitors to UKposts like The Daily Motion. the issue really stems from other sites having a rough start or never getting attention. No one is big enough to become a house hold name. And even if you do pick up steam, are people gonna care? People will default back to UKposts.

UKposts started out as an open forum for self-production and the need/choice to monetize to support its absurd resource requirements (bandwidth and server space) created the policies that govern youtube in a way people dislike. The problem with UKposts is people don’t (generally) pay for content, advertising partners do and it’s their interests being catered to.

Main problem is other sites don't have the resources UKposts has. YT has Google and millions to billions of dollars to support its platform. Other platforms have at most, very low millions. So they can't pay out creators as much, let alone support the staff and the software and hardware involved.

Only other potential competitor I think UKposts has, and it isn't much is Odysee, several of the UKpostsrs I know of, happen to be on there too, and the site seems to be showing promise. But even I can admit, that going up against such a massive corporation is asking for alot.

Utreaon is the main competitor with investors and planning but for the next decades to grow slowly. It has patreon-esk features too. Other sites died because people just tried doing a quick site without investment.

It's because UKposts cares only about themselves and they view content creators as free money only. ActMan pretended he'd dox UKposts employees as a joke. It's happening with my father with Facebook. Long story short, he was selling our product through constant paid boosts on public sales groups, nothing bad. He tried expanding a bit more but the Facebook algorithm suddenly fucked him over and made him less relevant, from national scale to state or even city scale (We are Mexican). He tried paying for normal boosts back again, but Facebook told him he still owed one dollar, one fucking dollar. He tries to pay but Facebook tells him he has to verify his debit card, so they send a code in the bank statement. Problem is, the statement doesn't come with the code, so he is constantly paying them to the point he has given them 10 dollars and to no avail. So he can't do the normal sales boost because Facebook tells him he still has to pay them the 1.37 dollars. No number to call for costumer service, no human assistance, pure pre-written messages by an AI, and our sales dropped to the point that we used to have 30 a week, now we have 6 or 5 max. I've made a new account with a webpage, but it has done little. It could all be solved if Facebook told us wtf is going on, but no.
