For me, the interior layout is promising. Like a concept car it's not the finished product. I've never understood why all yachts have ambient lighting under the sofas, tables, and beds. It looks cheesy to me. The best yacht interior I've ever seen was on the Ghost sailing yacht, by Luca Brenta and Lissoni. Might I add, beautiful design isn't about money, it's about taste. Very few yachts are tasteful.

@@davidhunternyc1 I mean interior layout not lightning or any styling! What I don't understand with so many yachts is saloon seating then a tv on a balk head were everyone has to sit on sofa with there heads turned sideways to view it! The tv has to be opposite to the sofas so you can sit and watch comfortably looking forward! Most cats do this and it's great to see on this vessel the sofas and tv rising out off opposite kitchen serving area! For me this is the perfect layout for a cat! As for furnishings lighting and styling will have to wait and see! I'm not a fan of cats I'd go mono hull as I like the layouts better on mono hulls! Cats are a big square area with stairs on both sides of interior that split the area in 2 parts! I'd have a riva 110 or a princess y85 ! I love Rivas styling but I also like the simplicity of princess! Not a fan of sailing vessels either! But that's just my taste! I'll try find your favourite !

@@mareewalker1096 Thank you, Maree for your considered response. I looked up the Silent-Yacht website and the co-ower, the wife, is the interior designer. They have another interior designer too. Basically, to step on their toes would be suicide. Don't mess with them. Silent-yachts is truly inventive but I doubt they'll get any interior design awards. Most yacht interior designers have no clue who Hans Wegner or Mies van der Rohe is. I don't see why yacht designers can't cull the knowledge from the Bauhaus to the late 1960's, not just for inspiration, but for actual furnishings. Imagine walking into a home on land and seeing lighting under the bed. That would be so cheesy and yet it's de rigueur on a boat. Doesn't make sense. I love your insight comparing a mono hull to a catamaran. Something to think about. I do, however, love heeling on a sailboat. It's elemental. I too will look up your favorite boats. Thanks for the dialog.

@@davidhunternyc1 Thank you David I have to agree about lighting under beds and furniture! Your right in a house it would look ridicules! I can't find the yacht you mentioned could you send me a link! I also agree most yachts I find have non practical layouts! Everything does not connect! They seem to put silly little details over practically ! But I will say there is only so much you can do with a yacht over a house! They all have the same area and space due to shape and length of a vessel but I don't care what anyone says simplicity is key and not difficult! And also most yachts we see are designed by the owners and most have bad taste! Nice talking with you! Happy sailing 🛥⚓

The real boats are under construction currently but so far none launched. I am also looking forward to some real world usage info on these boats. Be interesting to see the transatlantic journey documented.
