Perhaps worth mentioning the museums are free. It’s the perfect city: 47% of it is green space; some of the oldest and biggest museums in the world; 65 Michelin stars; night life; shopping; one of the world’s biggest financial centres; the best rail, underground and bus network; a bigger theatre district and shows than Broadway; the second biggest carnival in the world after Rio. If London was a country, it alone would be the 5th largest economy in Europe after Germany, France, Italy and Spain. It ranks 1st in the Global Power City Index, ahead of new York City. And yes, you can say NYC has pretty much all of these (or could have them if it wanted to) but it can never have 47% green space or 2,000 years of history.

London and going solo = two of my favorite things! I will be returning to London next March for the first time in a decade - and your videos (alongside others) are really helping me get in the mood and plan ahead! Keep up the great work.

this was a delight to watch! I had a fun solo day yesterday and watched the ballet by myself last month. While it felt odd at the start to sit there by myself, I soon realized that I enjoy my own company and shouldnt worry about what other people think of me and make the most of it which i did! Very liberating indeed.

Central and West are some of the most soulless parts of London. I've lived here all my life, and these areas I always avoid unless I have to go there.

Loved this; lots of great tips. Particularly the ‘15 minute rule’ about arriving at the theatre. I appreciate your thoughts on solo-ing at such times, as I think most of us would have similar feelings. However, whilst the snack during intermission is definitely helpful, I hope less and less of us will feel ‘awkward’ on our own, going forward. The price of treats in a theatre would be more painful for me than the awkwardness. Funny thing, I’m very comfortable solo-ing in places where nobody knows me, but in my smallish home town here in Ireland, I avoid it like the plague. (And I’m OLD 🤣)

A very interesting day out - I felt exhausted by the end! Most theatres have a nice bar where you can chill out before the performance. Have you done the Southbank area and Borough Market yet? For exercise, I often spend an hour or two walking from Westminster Bridge to London Bridge and then getting a snack in the market before heading home.

I'll be there next week for a gaming tourney so this was great. I'll probably chill at this coffee ☕️ shop
