Might want to add two things (1) Heathrow Express has discounts for advance purchase and for two people who are traveling together (I paid £55 for two people, round trip), and (2) the Piccadilly trains, while the cheapest, are really old, don't have a lot of space for luggage, and don't have air conditioning (that is all supposed to change in 2025)..

I noticed that the Express Transit mode was hiit and miss on the Tube. Half the time, the gates wouldn’t open. I finally gave up and switched to a contactless credit card.

I wish I had come across this a couple weeks ago. I didn’t realize you can use City Mapper for train and platforms info. We accidentally got a slow Overground service back from Watford Junction to Euston instead of a fast train. I had City Mapper on my phone but didn’t think to check it for this.

I'm heading to Stockholm in 2 weeks. Doing it solo. I'm excited, I did Copenhagen solo last year, and I feel the Scandinavian cities are such a massive difference from the UK. The vibes and colourful nature of them is wonderful.

What certain app do you use to navigate which metro/tram/bus should you take in Brussels? Im planning to go there solo as a day trip and wanna plan ahead:)

Which train to take if we are going to dover?

Are the trains at the airport open 24/7?? Will be arriving at 10:40 but will have to go through customs so I’m assuming we’ll be leaving the airport around 12-1am
