[Solved] Received new TM1637 but not working? (Subtitle in most languages)

Here is the solution if the components are soldered incorrectly.

Yes, that's exactly what I read on another site! There are two Capacitors with capacitance beyond what is needed.

Sir, I got a few of these. I'm using my the small one, a Nano board, a TEA5767 using the A4+A5 and the 5v and GND , I also have the TM1637 3+3 or 5v connect with he board ground with the TEA5767 and the TM CLK on pin D12 and DIO on D11 rewrighten code and have a hell of a noise, I first went from the 5 v to the 3.3 and the buzz calmed a bit, pulled the swaped the D11+12 pins and lost display. Ran the power wires to an independent supply and cured the buzz. I'm a new Arduino user and have gotten the radio and display working in 2 months. I don't think that's bad for a rookie and hope it shows I'm not lazy and just wasting your time asking without trying to check out Google and Arduino help for hours. Keep up the good work, Im kinda a fan by now. Bob H.

Your video inspired me to poke and repair the two i had , I removed caps and there was a leg not soldered on the main display. working now it seems.

Hi, Thanks for posting that video. I have a TM1637 exactly like the one you showed, but it works when driven from I2C bus 1 on a Pico, but not when driven from an TCA9648A multiplexer on I2C bus 0. Do you have any ideas why that might be? The configuration of capacitors and resistors is exactly as shown on the one you modified in the video.

Hi, the switcher might have issue. I did not look at the specs of TCA.

Good work regards I have been watching some of your tutorials and thank you for your time and effort I still have a lot of problems with arduino programming novice here question how do you switch 2 relays on with pushbutton but not latch just push on release off on 4 relay board I know its combining relay declaration function but to put it in code ? Dear Robojax. Just watched your video. And at t=4:25 you show the panel works with the two resistors moved. But the power LED is not on? Why is it not lit? I would expect one of the 10k resistors would do that?

Hi, forget this display. The tm1637 is just junk. Get ht16k33 shown here as it can be used easily with anything ukposts.info/have/v-deo/bJF0m36FgaJqzI0.html

Hello! I have two modules with power leds, which doesn't work at all. I mean leds are lit when connected to power, but nothing gets displayed. I've removed caps as you instructed, but can't get it to work anyway. Led light still works, nothing gets displayed. I've used your code and some samples provided with few tm1637 libraries for arduino. Any tips?

Hi robojax, I've got a similar 7 panel display to your small one. It turns on and the display comes on but no matter what I set the time to it quickly flashes on with the data and off? Any idea why this might be?

Hi, tnx! I still don't get it working. Problem: no clk en dio at pin 3 and 4 of the ic, checkd it with logic analyzer. By removing cap's and rest's the clock-line arives clearly at pin 3 of the IC. But pin 4 DIO of the IC keeps at a steady DC-level. Finaly I dissoldered pin4 from the pcb-pad and lined it directly to the DIO line of my microcontroller. ( now DIO is only conencted to pin 4 and has NO connection with the board. Still DIO/pin4 T at DC level. When disconnect DIO-line from pin 4 again there is the correct DIO 'pulse' on the DIO line coming from microcontroller. Have tried this on 2 TM1637 boards! Unfortunately. The IC is pulling DIO to a DC level. IC defect?

Question: My module arrived, but it's missing the other capacitor, otherwise everything is normal. How can i fix it? Would it work if I remove the other capacitor too? Missing capacitor is under Pwr-LED

the capacity is needed but not critical. it should work. just try it.

For me the power light doesn't actually even go on :( only when I send a command like .show and then it only flashes for a really short time. EDIT: Ok I now soldered the other side and with that one the power does stay on at least.

I have Sufi with this module. It is garbage even it it works. Try this module with you can do anything with ukposts.info/have/v-deo/bJF0m36FgaJqzI0.html

this is how we get products. There is specific manufacturer. people produce them at home in China.

A little late, but in case someone sees this... Just out of curiosity, did you send it the "display on" command? I worked with one of these this week and the display is off by default (the LED will light up, but the display will show nothing), until this command is sent.
