He matured incredibly in that movie, he wouldn't risk anything to mess with the timeline yet here he is winking at peter knowing the spell is very dangerous. Its extremely out of the character that we have seen on screen, it doesn't matter if his comic is like that, cause that's not who we are talking about

While I definitely don't discount the variant angle I also think our Strange doing this is believable. In terms of impending threat I don't think we can really compare the stakes in Infinity War, especially on Titan, to where this movie is starting off. He would be more at ease - Strange likely has an even bigger ego after helping to bring down Thanos & save the universe. It absolutely felt reckless to us as the audience watching him perform a reality altering spell cause frankly we've all been on this multiverse journey (& know where the movie is going) but I think it's believable Strange as the Sorcerer Supreme feels he can manage a spell every so often (I also think he always figures he can fix it if he screws up & it seems his screw up was not giving Peter enough info upfront). It should be to no one's surprise as to why he may also be personally feeling extra pressure to fill Tony's shoes when it comes to helping Peter out. As all characters in the MCU go they certainly mature movie to movie but they still maintain their basic personality & flaws, our heros absolutely repeat mistakes. Overconfidence gets em often!

WandaVision will be crucial for Multiverse of Madness, Falcon and Winter Soldier are crucial for Captain America 4, Loki is crucial for all multiverse stories because it establishes concept of Sacred Timeline, variants and branches and literally starts the multiversal war, and What If...? shows different realities - aka multiverse.

The spell wouldve worked, the PROBLEM is that the multiverse is shattering because of Wanda and Loki show. He was confident because he was confident in his abilities. What he DIDNT know was all the BS going on with how everyone else is screwing with the multiverse, and thats not his fault. He cant account for that. So its not his fault

While peter is trying to fight his own multiverse with the other spider man's, Strange and Wanda's will be different. I'm actually happy that multiverse of madness will be a horror movie.

Too true, two of the best villains any of the Spidey films have ever had but I find it hilarious that nobody was pointing out to Jamie Fox's Electro casting lightning in multiple shots I hope his performance is redeemed in this film.

I loved the original Spider-Man movie but the one thing I never liked in it was the hard costume design for Green Goblin. I'm not sure the classic rags looking costume is needed, but something closer to it would be better than the Power Rangers villain suit.

Far From Home wass 6 months after Endgame and Sylvie killing Kang was at the same time as Wanda transforming into Scarlet Witch. So maybe this Dr. Strange is a different one due to multiverse. I think this trailer is a Red Herring that Dr. Strange unlocks the Multiverse.
