if your catalytic converter is getting hot enough to start fires it should be replaced. im sure youd feel the car real heavy at take off or long crank in the am if catalytic is that restricted

man, I like just driving off the pavement. phones recording, no gps. I kinda realized I'm most likely on somebody's property, so it was time to exit

@@Yoinksta1 Good for you man, i love doing the same exact thing, except i do look at gps once in a while. Ya its probably not a good idea especially at night when the land owner can easily see the headlights, plus you're in America i presume so a gun can definitely enter into the equation. Lol

I had that happen to me once. I took my family to go stay in a cabin in the Austin Tx area. It belonged to a friend of a friend and I had never been there before. I followed my gps and it clearly showed a left turn into some forest. There was a dirt road there but weeds had grown over it like it hadn't been used in years. I was already on a country road out in the hill country and didn't have a clue where I was so I took the turn. It was really late, like 1am or so and I drove off into the forest. Once I was away from the main road the weeds disappeared and the road got really narrow with small trees arching on both sides like I was driving through a tunnel at times. The gps showed it connecting to another road so I kept going until I eventually came to a huge tall metal gate with all kinds of no trespassing and warning signs. I suddenly thought that if I had come upon someone's back gate that far out in the woods and that late at night I could get us shot. I couldn't see if there was a house or not but it was pretty obvious I wasn't going to get to that intersection shown on the gps. I was about a quarter mile into the woods and I had to back about half the way out before I could turn around because the trees were so dense and close to the road. We made it out w/o any problem but it was spooky as hell running up on who knows whose property. We got back to the main road and eventually the gps showed an alternate route. That little diversion probably did go through but it was apparently a private road with someone's homestead or something blocking the middle of it. It turned out that was the coolest memory we had from that whole trip...at least once we were safely back home.
