My son used to sing "Every Breath You Take", pitch perfect and unaccompanied, for me, after a nervous breakdown in child protection. Sadly he passed away in 2017, age 34. An amazing human being, whom I was honoured to be his mum ❤️🙏❤️

I always took Sting's voice for granted growing up. It was so spectacular and original and awesome that it just fell into place as one of the benchmarks for perfection and professionalism. It wasn't until decades later, when I started to learn the bass guitar, I started learning his music. That's when it hit me like a ton of lead. This dude is on a level of musicianship that only a small fraction of humans will ever produce. I am very thankful and grateful to have grown up listening to his music and blessed with enough sense to realize the staggering level of awesomeness.

Omg, this voice brings me to heaven. A giant of music, really amazing. Without any big electric stuff he drives his songs so great, I got bloody goosebumps.

Hahahaha I just realized Sting plays this song with basically an A shape moved up and down the neck... I've always played this in the most difficult method possible apparent, like a Joe Satriani solo moving a million different hand positions to play each note with each finger... Now I'm like... ohhhh, yeah that way works too! :)
