The American public has allowed the Presidency to become above the law and a way to get richer. What happened prior to the 20th century when the presidency was still considered a public service? Andrew Jackson was famous for his open door policy which allowed any american to come to the oval office to discuss their problems. Every election seems like the office gets more and more power. We either need to hit a hard reset button and neuter the power of the federal government, or prepare to watch the dismantling by force.

Its because a lot of the major stocks are a part of the 3 major U.S. indexes. So, when the index falls. They all tend to fall. Think of it like this. All boats rise in a high tide and they all sink in a low tide. Whenever stocks drop, you need to find one with good underlying financials that is just down because of association.

Airlines are not going to go back to PRE-COVID levels for possibly years..if ever. Companies are realizing that they no longer need to send as many employees on flights across the country costing thousands. When they can accomplish the whole thing through simple Zoom calls costing pennies in comparison. Corporate flights, while not making up the majority of flights, were consistent and made up a good chunk. Without as many, airlines will lose out on a valuable chunk of money.

The airlines basically used to subsidize the costs for economy class by charging the business and first class the exorbitant ticket prices. With this no longer happening, the airlines do not have their cash cow to fill the planes. I think we have already seen the peak of travel with airplanes in 2019 and it will get better but never return to "normal". We will have other means of transportation which people will feel safer in like hyperloop and autonomous cars.

I disagree. I do agree with we won’t go back to pre COVID levels. But I think huge innovation in the aviation industry will come. Big companies like Boeing are going to fall, giving room for emerging companies. I think we needed this for the big companies to fall, next 50 years of aviation will look way differently than it is now. My opinion, smaller aircraft, more flights. Why? The technology of electric/hybrid planes is around the corner(15-30) years. To add to your point of people no longer need to commute, that is true, but with freedom to work anywhere in the world I think we will see more travel. Just my opinion.

226% decline from previous year’s delta. So say 2018 was 100 travelers and 2019 had 110, that’s a 10% increase from the year before, but this year saw 90 travelers, so that’s (-20)/10 so 200% decrease in change, she didn’t word it correctly though.

Well after Bush’s banking fiasco, the Dow was at 8,600 in Feb 2009 (the month after Obama took office). When Obama left in Jan 2017, the Dow was above 21,000. The Dow is a matter of record.

All that money could've went towards funding Police departments to implement more rigorous/lenghty and more selective recruitment. 6 months is not long enough to train to be a cop. I agree, more training would not only help the officer.. but it would help the community as well. There are very few 'bad' cops, and there are SOOOO many good cops... that are either lumped into the bad apple basket OR are put in dangerous situations and fall back on their training (of which there isn't much, especially considering their job). Increase funding for not only more recruiting, but better training, and better equipment... hopefully resulting in locking up more criminals, keeping the streets safer, crime lower... which will attract more businesses to move in.. more businesses coming in will mean more jobs for the community, more jobs means less people resorting to crime and more disposable income being taxed.. and that money can then be used for the community (roads/parks/schools/etc). *Fingers Crossed*

The number of passengers going through airports has fallen 226%...now that IS impressive, not only did all of the 100% of travelers they had stop going but then they managed to find another 126% of that total number that just left the airport after appearing out of nowhere. That is a really REALLY impressive downturn. I have to admit i hear some pretty ridiculous hyperbole about the sky falling and oil/gas...but making people that can't possibly be counted just appear out of thin air to come up with a number like negative 226% is a new level of hyperbole. He's not worried about flying, there is just nowhere to go, apparently everywhere in the world suddenly disappeared.

Money being pumped into tech companies for instance has little to do with their performance. Commodities such as oil should be ruled by demand. And I base that upon Obama vs Trump. - Average Wage growth after inflation - Obama 1.3% vs Trump .8%. Source - Bureau of Labor Statistics. Job gains - Obama 8.1million in his last 36 months vs. Trump 6.6 million in his first 36 months.

@@amym5062 sure they're promoting it. I never said covid is a hoax. Sorry for your loss. Covid is real but so is millions of other conditions that could take any of us anytime are real as well. And at a much higher rate than this virus. We will all get this virus in our system at some point and hopefully not when our bodies are vulnerable to attack. Best thing we can do is try and prepare our bodies to handle it and all the other sicknesses we will likely encounter. Eat a balanced diet, take vitamins, conquer addictions, be as mentally/emotionally balanced as you can, exercise if you can, get treatment for anything that could compromise your health in a timely manner. Instilling fear, inflated stressors in people's lives and interrupting families means to provide necessities and pleasures make people's bodies and minds vulnerable to attack. If you don't think there's means and motive and evidence to blow this out of proportion to create beneficial instability than you're either not paying attention or naive. I've been on the other side. I've got a good idea what the opposition is thinking. And I doubt it's as innocent as "never waste a good disaster".

@@jamesrogers4674 Actually, I'm really grateful that people have been warning about the virus, and encouraging life changes. I have a weak immune system, and my doctors have said that I'm at high risk for fatality. So all the healthy people who are taking steps not to get sick and spread it (working from home if possible, wearing masks after proof its airborne, not going to big social gatherings where it spreads, etc. are saving my life! I dont believe its something that everyone will eventually get - or I really hope not, because that means death for a bunch of people I care about, myself included. I think it will be like other viruses, where we get a vaccine at a young age. And then people dont have to worry about it. I might have agreed with you about the fear mongering, but in addition to my uncle there have been a couple friends of friends. Plus there's the info my Dr's have told me, and they have no political motivation

There also was a big sale at least for certain stocks early this week.. Tesla stock was selling 5 stock for the price of one. So once that took effect tesla stock will temporarily plummet but if it comes back out on top a lot of people will make mint. Hes betting hard that the market will recover no matter what

Oil being a "net money loser" should hardly come as a surprise. Fossil fuels, as much as people want to convince themselves, is NOT renewable - it's something we consumed, and once it's consumed it's done. Maybe that will change in the future, but this is it. Not to mention oil had been ENORMOUSLY subsidized for years, so the price was already not a reflection of the actual cost. It is inevitable that it will be phased out, and by the looks of it, it's starting. As 2020 was the first year in which more money was invested into renewable energy than fossil. Thank God.
