I think the reason the undead armies card (spawn a pawn after rooks, knights or bishop die) doesn't work on the last row is because if a chess piece died, it would spawn a pawn that would immediately promote, therefore leading to a loop of basically invincible pieces as long as they stay there

I'd find it interesting if, instead of after choosing all your cards for a build and then completing another floor some new white pieces joined, you had to choose another set of cards that would replace the first cards you picked. Allowing for builds to change and forcing you to adapt, maybe this system + the current system could make something interesting? Update: I have been informed that this is the Chase mode hinted at the end of the video

This is actually an insane build because white had insane anti-synergy. Everything was invested into pawns when there are basically no pawns and tyler could pick off pawns easily.

If I recall right, pawns spawned from destroyed pieces can't check you when they first emerge.

You know maybe for some interesting ideas for the game, instead of adding 1 power for black and white for each level: 1) Black already has 10 full random powers, but black has to remove some of those powers (maybe keeping 5 or 3 at final level) 2) White has 5 random powers, but will get additional 5 more powers (means white has 10 full powers at final level as normal)

My favorite strategy is the toggleables. Cornered despot, High focus, Black mist WHICH LITERALLY REVIVES YOU ONCE PER FLOOR, and afterwards I just wanna debuff enemies as much as possible.

Tip: if you go to the settings, you can change the amount of folly shields you have. (You can set it to three)

Ah yes, Plague Rats. The Black Card that scales with the more White Pieces and Power you have, since it means more rats to nibble the thoroughly chipped out army to death. The fact you've combined it with Pierce is extra spicy, but you could've done even better if you'd managed to get Grenade, Blades, or the Black Death Trinity (Rats + Crow + BD) with them. On the subject of Black Death, it's the only source of passive damage you get access to that doesn't require your shotgun to 'activate' , so it's quite a sought out Perk imo, especially with stall cards like Moat, Black Mist, and Extra Turn enablers.
