@Oxnard Darcy The problem mainly lies in the extreme amount of overlap within the FE reps. Everyone uses a sword in some way, and most have blue hair and/or blue armor. As a result, they look incredibly samey to an outsider. Byleth was a good step forward with the entire weapon triangle and Three Houses representation, but FE already took a few steps back and couldn't recover in time thanks to the EVERYONE IS HERE policy. The insurmountably high expectations set up by the previous DLCs doesn't help.

Kinda makes up for the fact that they aren't in, and it makes people want to play Mii fighters. The memes are true, nobody cares about Gunner, but everyone plays Sans and will play Cuphead

The difference is that there are a ton of other fire emblem characters in smash. Terry was at least from an unrepresented franchise and was a surprisingly fun character to play. Three houses came out half a year ago while there are a lot of classic influential and Iconic characters that are unrepresented in smash. I even think hero (who I don't really like) was a much better pick because he was from a different franchise and his inclusion likely made a lot of people happy. Are even fire emblem fans happy about this inclusion?

Sakurai said it, and I was surprised that he said it, "Too many Swordsmen are there?", and for a character like Altair and Ezio (In this case more for Altair) , both are swordsmen, so may nope. 2. Is hard that a character that is M, has a chance too appear in Smash, for Bayonetta happened, but because it was part of Nintendo, and for AC and Ubisoft talking about money, maybe nope, hard choise.
