Thank you for the video. Could you please clarify the following questions? The procedure is as follows: 1. Make a modulating for the first sine wave (e.g. for the first transistor). Amplitude (e.g) = +1...-1 2. Add add third harmonic and get the curve with two humps as you sown. 3. Add another triangular reference signal with amplitude = +1...-1 4. Сut PWM signals by comparing voltages. 5. Send these signals to the transistor The structure of these PWM signals will be different than if we were using a pure sine wave. But why would the output line voltage be higher? An open transistor "sees" the input constant voltage (500V). Not more. I have it after modeling the same (In both cases, the amplitude is 500V) The second question: We can set the amplitudes of the modeling sine and the reference voltage as we want. It's mathematics. I can make the amplitude of the reference voltage just 15% lower than that of a sine wave. Then the transistor will be at the point of the maxima of the sinusoid open just longer. Why do we need a third harmonic?

Hi Ozan, Thanks for the great Video, I have made an Inverter with SVM topology but I have a problem in output Voltage, my input voltage is 220 V but the output voltage wouldn't go over 180 V! may you please let me have your comment about?

Your input dc voltage should be 311, 220v is rms, 311 is vmax, 1.414*220=311

Good afternoon! Vector control theory says that the resulting stator field vector must be kept perpendicular to the rotor magnet. If this is one magnet with two poles, then it is not difficult to imagine. But in life we have a lot of magnets. For example, there can be 12 of them on a scooter motor wheel, and the rotor is located outside the stator. How to present this corner there? How is the magnetic field located?

I will try to answer you question. Let's assume that you have an 16 poles PM (8N and 8S) with a 12 teeth fractional-slot stator. Phase A will be wind at avec 90° displacement starting at 0°. Phase B will start at 30° and also have a 90° displacement each coils and finally, stator coil for phase C will start at 60° with its 90° displacement. If you align one of the N poles of the rotor to one coil of phase A, 4 of other N poles of rotor will also be facing the 3 other remaining to coils of phase A. All other PM poles will align more or less to the closes coils B and C. If you rotate manually the rotor, the same 4 N poles of the rotor will align to all coils B and so on. Lets puts some numbers, each PMs are distributed evenly at 22.5° (360/16 = 22.5 °). You have 12 teeth on the stator, each stator teeth will be displaced every 30°. If you have 3-phase motor , then 12 tooth / 3-phase = 4 coils for each phase. 360° / 4 poles/phase = 90° displacment between each coils of phase A, the gois for coils B and C. Hope it make sense. And 90° / 22.5° = 4 magnetic poles of the rotor will align with 4 coils A, or B or C of the respective phases. My point is that the FOC does not care if the rotor made a full turn. Since each coil of phase A are displaced at 90°, every 90° mechanical rotational displacement will equal a full electrique rotational revolution. However, the FOC needs to know where or at which angle the d-axis is, and for this, you need a shaft sensor the measure the angles or the back-EMF for sensorless angle detection. This datum is valuable to determine the speed (angular velocity - RPM, etc), the rotational angle for positionning for example or the angle of the d-axis as per phase. The last is needed with the currents of each phase for the CLARK transformer. With out this data, you have no FOC. Hope it help!

Similar but not the same, u get better utilisation of DC bus on both SVPWM AND 3rd har+SPWM ie 1.15 times that you get with Spwm , but harmonic performance is better with SVPWM

So, to produce more power we need 3rd harmonic? What is 3rd harmonic? Quint? 1 harmonic is Tonic 2 harmonic is Octave 3 harmonic is Quint Tonic + Quint = Power-Chord... Now clear, let's do heavy metall :D
