Looked like a fairly decent tarp. You could always leave the poles at home and use a ridgeline setup, much lighter. I have loads of tarp ideas on my channel. All the best.

It's probably worth waterproofing it. Either with silicon or NikWax, that way, if it starts pouring, you will not get soaked.

There's a seal who has figured out the locks and sometimes makes his way up there. perhaps that's what you saw at the end there?

It's good for a shade but at 1000 HH the rain will just go right through it. To keep rain off it needs to be at least 2000 HH. In our weather it's hope for the best but prepare for the worst because we can get four seasons in a day.

Nice place to chill out. Tarp looks ok to me. Be better if it was green to blend in more with surroundings. Yeah shame that some people go on You tube just to be nasty.
