karma kush eating well won’t cause you to lose weight, in fact, it may help you gain lean muscle, strength, energy, etc. I’m not sure if you mean you have physical restrictions or your health situation, but personally I may have MS, definitely a neuromuscular issue- and I’ve unintentionally lost a ton of weight bc of it. I’m taking supplements & staying on top of my food intake, exercise, sleep & other things- it’s all relative & even improving in one of those helps immensely

This is true. I have seen her newer videos. She has much more detail. She also used an electircal maching to stimulate her muscles. (no not the usual ab-twitchers.) It was a therapist's machine and she bought her own to use twice a day at home. She's a warrior.

The diet in this book works. Yes it’s expensive but as she says you pay now or you pay at the hospital. My fiancé was diagnosed in February and from the beginning she has seen a dramatic recovery both in overall wellness and the lesions on her brain. The things that seem to set her and others with MS back most is dairy and gluten. This book WILL give you hope if you have MS, but it’s work. It’s not easy opting for 9 cups of greens over a cheeseburger. With time it gets easier. You got this!!!

I was just diagnosed with MS today, and I am thrilled to have come across this video. I thought I was a healthy 43-year-old woman until today, but I know that my diet has not been the greatest over the years. I have a high metabolism, and have been able to get away with eating unhealthy, processed foods for years...until now. I will be switching to the "hunter-gatherer" diet immediately, and I will update everyone on my condition in the future months. I am so thankful to have come across this video so early in my disease. I am confident that changing my diet will help to slow or halt the progression of my MS.

I took the prednisone for probably a year or S year and a half. The doctor asked me how often I took the prednisone, I told her once a day and I’m working on zero, that doctor became upset, telling me that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis that I should take the prednisone three to four times a day, that was two years ago, my last prescription was back in July of 2022, I stopped drinking Dr. Pepper and Coke. Julie E.P. Pharmaceutical companies are only interested in making money and what makes more money, a product that works, or one that does not? When there is a natural product that can produce testable, repeatable, falsifiable results in an externally verifiable way they synthase it and make LOTS of money. Taxol or Paclitael is a cancer treatment that was developed from the anti cancer effects found in the bark of the Pacific Yew Tree. It was researched, synthesized, made into concentrated product for the treatment of cancer and is used widely today. If it can be proven to work in nature, pharmaceutical companies are all over it in a flash because that's how they make their money. So what does all this mean? Well you have just highlighted brilliantly that your a backward simpleton who is completely clueless on subjects to self profess to know everything about. Go an open a book for christ sake and learn something you backward simpleton. The reality you have constructed in your head differs wildly to the one we live in. For those of you not as demonstrably spastic as Julie EP here is some lite reading. dtp.nci.nih.gov/timeline/flash/success_stories/S2_taxol.htm Retards, they out number us but with education, reason and demonstrable fact hopefully we can fight them back.
@myjizzureye
@myjizzureye 9 років тому
Tohs G I can't be sure if you're joking or really really slow. Can you please name me a business that does not want you to buy their products? Saying the medical industry wants you to buy their products is like saying hookers are only interested in you for the money. OF COURSE they want to sell their products, and the products that sell BEST are the ones with a testable, repeatable, falsifiable track record of actually working. This means just as I pointed out with Taxol ,if its a 100% NATURAL product that has proven results in test trials they synthesize it, purify the active ingredients and make a CUNT LOAD of money. If a company sold bungee cords that did no work how long do you think they would stay in business you demonstrable thick cunt? Its deluded mongs like you that need to be culled from the population.

Now I'm wiser and try to follow a diet including mostly vegetables, fuits, nuts and seafood. The biggest difference in my diet is using (really) lots of herbs and spices. It's very hard to change your diet so dramatically, but I'm inspired! Thank you!
@LudwigVanYesBut
@LudwigVanYesBut 6 років тому
It's completlely different, as celiac disease is demonstrated to be caused by gluten specifically. Evidence for other immune diseases is flimsy if not non-existent.

This is such a great talk. I love Dr. Terry Wahls! Her research, along with that of Dr. Sarah Ballantyne, has changed my life. I have yet to reach full remission, but I went from being in a rapidly declining state of excruciating chronic pain that was taking away my ability to walk to being able to power walk, hike, bike ride, go to the gym, and preform many other actives that used to be out of the question. Most of us think of our 20's as being the peak of our health, but the peak of my illness hit during my early 20's, and I had emotional breakdowns everyday thinking that I was going to spend the rest of my life in a wheelchair. Now it feels like I'm aging in reverse. I feel younger, healthier, and more alive with every passing day. Whether you are looking to cure/prevent chronic illness or just optimize your body's functioning so that you have the energy to live your life to the fullest, I highly recommend looking into their research. It also takes an open mind and a willingness to let go of previously held beliefs surrounding food. Before the autoimmune protocol, I was eating what most of us would consider to be an extremely healthy diet, but that was clearly not the case. It turned out that most of what I thought I knew about healthy eating was wrong. Dietary ideologies can be dangerous. I decided to experiment, and let my body be the one to tell me what I should and should not eat.

This woman is a genius. I had a MRT and they found some lesions. I was freaking out - and saw this video. I did what she said, after one year I was able to do another MRT and the lesion which may suggest i have MS got alot smaller! And: it's not expensive if you start growing sprouts - once you have the glasses (in which they grow) and the seeds you can grow your sprouts yourself - they have a lot more vitamins, minerals and all the good stuff the full grown vegetable has. And you don't need to eat 3 plates a day, these sprouts have all the minerals, vitamins in it, you just need to eat a spoon of it per day - and you WILL FEEL a change! And i eat al lot of fish (every second day). I noticed i can think much clearer, i was suddenly able to have my rhetorical skills back (i love talking with people, but i started to "fade away" when i wanted to answer). I thank god for this Ted-Talk. This woman has changed my life. I lost 15 kg in the last year (i'm 1,8m and 60 kg - which is the perfect weight for me) and feel much much healthier. My depression is nearly gone. I have no more panic attacks. Please listen to her, do what she recommends! Especially if you're from the US - i know you have to pay for a doctors visit and you delay this to the point you can't anymore. It's a shame (us healthcare) - i'm from europe and here is everything free (and as good as in the us, or even better... the Saudi princes/princesses are always coming here for a doctors visit), must be even worse if you live there. Believe me, she's right with EVERY WORD she says. Give it a try. Try sprouts!! They will change your life, i promise!

Everyone’s lesions get smaller over time. As active inflammation stops, the lesions shrink up forming scars. That’s literally what sclerosis means. It’s anticipated from MRI to MRI over time. It’s a neutral finding. MRT is a very outmoded term associated with the 1980s and Eastern Europe.

Just watched this video again, and again, I appreciate the care and thought that went into Dr. Wahls' presentation. It's disturbing that TED is still posting "warnings" all over this video. Wahls is careful to say she is only describing her experiences and speculating about the relationship between diet and the control of diseases. Many people I know lost respect for TED after it went on the warpath against this video, and a few others (while allowing some videos that make blatantly ridiculous claims to go without warnings). TED, for example, has labeled discussions of the dangers of GMO foods (filled with toxic insecticides) as pseudo-science, and has posted statements on the "virtues" of Dean Ornish's dangerous vegan diets, based on the worst kind of pseudo-science.
@leaperrins8373
@leaperrins8373 8 років тому
+Nils Osmar Whilst I agree with your overall point, I don't think vegan diets are dangerous. Science does not support the fact that a vegan diet is dangerous either. We can be healthy no matter how we choose to eat as long as we are educated. I can't stand all this fighting about diet and people who think that one diet should fit all. It's not realistic in any sense.

@leaperrins8373
@leaperrins8373 8 років тому
Suzette Miller I don't believe that everyone is capable of being vegan. I have never believed in a one diet fits all approach. However, there are thousands of healthy vegans out there including athletes. We have to decide what is right for us personally but not impose this belief on others. Either you weren't paying enough attention to your nutrient levels or a vegan diet doesn't suit you, I want people to realise that whilst they can learn form the experience of others, they should never allow it to dictate their own food choices. I defend meat eaters and vegans alike. However I don't personally agree with factory farming and I struggle with the ethics of meat eating. I do believe that the average meat eater has a responsibility to cut down on their consumption (averagely we eat far too much), educate themselves on what a factory farmed animal has to suffer to end up on your plate and campaign for better animal rights.

Thank you Dr. Wahl for this valuable and comprehensive information. I am a raw vegan and following a plan which is 80 percent of the same raw fruits and vegetables you displayed in your lecture. The other 20 percent are 10 percent for protein in the form of sprouted beans, sprouted tofu and seeds such as chia, hemp and flax, and occasionally cooked beans, The final 10 percent is in the form of fats which are also from the seeds, some nuts, and tofu. I eat seaweed almost daily because I love it. I do not eat any type of animals products. I am nearly 60 and have no health problems. My bone density is at the 20-30 year old range. I had Hep C for 25 years and was cured with the new drug teleprevir (interferon, and riboviron) cocktail two years ago. I went into anemic shock after 6 weeks of treatment and required blood transfusions (ironic, as this is how I acquired the Hep C in the first place) and hospitalization. I went vegan after the first chemo treatment of interferon and riboviron, ten years ago, had failed. I researched diets that would be less taxing on my liver. The over-whelming consensus was for a vegan diet. On a vegan diet I remained "healthy enough" to continue teaching, body-building, doing gymnastics, and doing power yoga. One year ago, I found an amazing yoga teacher named Ali Kamenova, who introduced me to the 80-10-10 raw vegan diet...The change has been incredible. I have bi-annual check-ups and blood tests. Every function in my body is either normal or better. I feel amazing. I do supplement b12. Excuse the lengthy description, but I thought it was necessary for understanding what type of health issues had effected me. I would like to know what your opinion is on the omission of the grass-fed meats, organ meats, and omega rich fish. Do you feel they are necessary in the diet you chose and developed? Or, do you think that a vitamin and mineral rich plant=based diet is adequate for a healthy body? I am so impressed with the amazing progress you made. I would respect what you have to say about this. Thank you so much for your time, Laura Jones-Miller

I find it amazing that you have such a good control on your diet, with your previous problems it seems like you do know the need to maintain a wide variety of nutrients and that you take this completely serious, not like other vegetarians who assume not eating meat it's just the way to go, but forget to include a good source of protein in their diet, do you not include egg and dairy products in your diet because of a personal decision or because the also strain your liver? In any case sounds like you are doing pretty well, keep it up.

Hi Alonzo, I'm lactose intolerant I have chosen to omit the eggs...most of the research on eggs as a protein source show that the eggs are not beneficial enough to outweigh the negative effects on the liver and the risk of an an increased cholesterol count. Raw vegetables (a rainbow assortment with raw kale at the top) provide an adequate amount of protein. I do , as I said, supplement B 12. I work out and/or practice yoga daily and have no problems with a lack of stamina or muscle development and tone. I feel great. I also practice daily happiness! The secret to success!!!
