I have been loving Tiktok recently! I am obsessed with the app and thought I'd try testing viral tiktok life hacks, food hacks, diy hacks, science experiments and magic tricks to see if they work! I love seeing viral tiktok life hacks and I thought it'd be fun to test them out myself to see if they worked or were an absolute disaster! Today I tested the viral tiktok bleached jeans hack, the mcdonalds hash brown hack, the easy bullet journal water colour hack and more!

No, you don't. I use this technique in my bullet journal frequently. And those are thick, but normal pages. I don't use a spraybottle though, I dot water on with a pencil.

The other option is to lightly spray the paper first and get it damp and then do the rest of the steps.

You just need to have a pretty fine spray and water based markers. That’s it. I bullet journal a lot and I also use it for my business to customize coupons

If peeling in a single direction is more comfortable for you, you can extend the life of cheap plastic-handled peelers by taking the blade out and turning it around when the primary blade gets dull. It's usually just sitting in a little nook, not actually fixed in place.

The watercolour background hack is one I've loved for years now. Regular felt tips work cause they're water based, like Crayola. Cause it's printer paper, it will turn all crumpled cause of the amount of water. Taping the paper down helps if you can't get paper with a higher gsm

When you are bleaching something, it has to be in a warm place. Otherwise the bleach will not pick up on the jeans. Btw love your videos

I wouldn’t use sharpie I think it’d bleed into the white and it’d rub off onto it too but using a bit of leather dye or fabric dye really precisely and washed out quickly would probably work very well

U can’t really find bleach in lots of stores now and most people already have toilet bowl cleaner and also the toilet bowl cleaner is almost a gel so it’s easier to control

I think if you use liquid bleach it's more likely to bleed onto the other side even if you tape it off.

It seems a lot of places don't have bleach right now. I did this with shorts and had some bleach concentrate and I used that without any tape and have a perfect line cuz the concentrate is like a jelly

Can definitely tell with the bleaching. I’d just neaten the line with a paint brush, nobody will notice that it as bad then. The spraying into ink technique can be difficult. I usually do this with alcohol inks instead as they blend really nicely. The hash browns look amazing so will give these a go in the morning x

Honey, the person doing the highlighter "hack" had to have cheated and used both water colours and water colour paper to achieve that look......there is no way to achieve that depth of colour without using the proper tools. By the way, using neat high strength bleach on fabric is going to weaken the fibers and shorten the life of your jeans considerably......leave it on long enough and it will actually eat away the fabric. Of course peelers work both ways.......how do you think us lefties manage to peel a spud otherwise?? If you want to make hash browns without the messy squeezing the juice out part, prick your potatoes with a fork then put them in the microwave for a minute before you peel them, this binds the starch in the potato with the juice, it also makes them MUCH easier to grate. Add some salt when you add the egg for a better flavor, you can also add grated onion for a real flavor hit.
