Games will be so good now with Oklahoma & Texas added

As a Texas fan, I am excited about the 2024 season. I love the SEC. It may take while for my Longhorns to gear up to playing in the football meat grinder that is the SEC, but I think that given time, the Horns will get there. Playing road games at Tuscaloosa, Baton Rouge, Athens, Gainesville, and College Station should be more exciting than playing road games at Waco, Lubbock, Stillwater, or Ames. I think that SEC fans will enjoy coming to Austin for road games. Hopefully, the additional of UT and OU only makes the SEC stronger, not just in football, but it all sports.

As an Oklahoma fan my first reaction was that it looked incredibly tough. Lol. But I’m so excited. Bring it on, man. Can’t wait.

As a hawg I definitely believe Texas and Oklahoma are perfect fits for the SEC. While Pac12 west coast teams going to the northern states of the mighty big 10 still just seems so weird to me like what in all that’s holy ???

I disagree with Dusty. This schedule blows anything the Big 12 can give us competition wise. Iron sharpens iron. To me it's exciting.

Alabama, Ole Miss, and Tennessee are the only teams that will not play either Texas or Texas A&M. Florida and Mississippi State are the only teams that will play both Texas and Texas A&M. Everyone in the SEC will play either Texas or Oklahoma.

Why is the Red River Shootout categorized as a home game for OU, but an away game for Texas? It's halfway in between OU and Texas, and it's in Texas. OU will have 1 less home game than Texas, with a seemingly tougher opponent match-up. Would they alternate it in the future, to where it becomes considered a "home" game for Texas and an "away" game for OU, thus giving OU 4 conference home games and Texas 3 home games? Probably not, if they're going to up it to 9 conference games the next season.

Im a Oklahoma Sooners fan and Texas Longhorns coming to the SEC. The SEC is scared of them coming. The SEC only plays 5 or 6 conference games. Now they have to 8 games conference games. Georgia has only been 2x championship . The big 12 played everyone in our conference.

No you're not, im a Sooner fan and we are not ready and should of waited another year before going to the SEC. We can't even recruit top DL'S and receivers for 2 straight recruiting classes and just had at least 4 DLs leave along with others. You know we are in trouble and there's a chance that we are going to get clobbered and have yet another losing season. Because of greed.

Oklahoma might get 3 SEC wins. Texas 3 maybe 4 even with the much easier schedule. They should have stayed in the Big 12. Comes down to if you would rather be a big fish in a little pond or a little fish in a big pond. Both Oklahoma and Texas over estimated their level of talent and their ability compete with the big boys. Its one thing to beat a SEC team in a bowl game. That’s one game. But its a whole other thing to play those teams week after week. Good luck to them both. But I foresee a blood bath.
