But I still use UKposts and it's better if you watch better videos solely for the entertainment and educational purposes. On Instagram it is like same meme over and over again. I just went through a mental break down. I went into a state of psychosis and when I came out I went to therapy. When I explained how I felt she replied," it sounds like you are going through a metamorphosis." She could not be more right. Its not easy to feel negative thoughts and emotions but I feel as if by the end of this road I will be stronger and more focused.

I just turned 21 and experienced this as well. I was trying so hard to be liked by everyone. Things happened in my personal relationships, I broke mentally, shaved my head, quit my job (that I was advancing quickly in unfortunately), destroyed my life. Now I'm beginning to rebuild it after 6 months of just overthinking daily. I feel like I am just beginning to grasp REALITY, but I know that I still know absolutely nothing. @@samhammond7575 yea. there's a reason ppl say " enjoy the journey, not the destination". i guess you don't really try to go outside of your comfort zone and try some shit for a hour, day, week etc. and it turns into " idk what to do, have nothing to pursue, because i don't know what I want". that's actually very common if you didn't get hooked on something in childhood, either try to join some activity groups or as i said try to break the turtle shell where you feel secure and can be lazy, because nothing drives you forward. can't expect some magical people to appear and fix your life. time flows either we want it or not. duncans analogy of broken bone is perfect, have to break the bad habits and start something. i never liked animals, except canaries while growing up, because i rarely met them and interacted with them. now im 29 and I'm helping my grandparents in the farm with horses, cows, cats/dogs, chickens etc. because i enjoy it and even have plans with gf to move there. and for the last 6y im working in friends company, atm manager of whole country south sector stores, yet I hardly feel like im sitting in my home and looking at the wall till it moves away and gives me answers.

Any mental breakdown which can be depression and/or anxiety is a check engine light your brain turns on and needs fixing. Forget medication because it doesn't work or is supposed to be a temporary fix/help until you get ahold of yourself and make that change needed to get back to normal. You have to reprogram your brain to start enjoying life again and stop fearing your temporary malfunction. I healed from anxiety. Which was because of a long time of stress that brought me the worst anxiety disorder/insomnia/depression you can imagine. Once I said I'm not gonna fear this fearful/anxiety sickness and start living. Then I started to heal. It takes time for your brain to heal and get back to normal. That's where people lose patience and don't get out of it, thinking it'll never go away. Everybody is different. So no telling when you'll fully heal but eventually you will. I'm about 1yr and 3 months from when I changed my way of thinking and started healing. I'm at 90% back to normal. Remember. The only thing to fear is fear itself.

You'll feel a little bit better. Just the way you can get sick. You can also heal. Been there done that. You gotta get to a point in your life where you tell yourself "enough is enough. I'm done suffering. I gave you your time. Now I'm done with you". Let's do this. Let's say Fu*k it. I'm gonna live my life. And be happy like I should be. Let's do this.

As the son of a schizophrenic mother, I’d say that dismissing medication is literally a life and death matter. Many people who might not need it overuse it, sure, but many people who need it aren’t taking it. Your story sounds inspiring and needs telling, but just like trying to cure cancer through diet, some mental issues can not be controlled through being more mentally strong as you’re implying.
@jorgebeltran1762
@jorgebeltran1762 3 роки тому
@@hanaf1231 I was taking about depression and anxiety when it comes to mental breakdown. Schizophrenia is something I don't know about. Medication is not the answer for what I'm talking about.

I have a panic disorder which, sometimes when triggered, one episode can last years. This isn't just a day of freaking out. My body will get so out of whack that it just turns on the physical terror for months and months at a time. No matter how I logically think or feel about it, It just happens. The doctors always wanted to throw SSRIs and Benzos and other such things at the problem. But no matter how bad I've felt, I've always refused, choosing to take what my body is doing and face to face with it head on. It's in doing this that I have learned the most about myself. A few times it's been so bad and I've been so frightened that I've lost total sense of who I was or who people I've known all my life were. But you know what? I know better than some random drug. I know in happiness or in despair that it's my soul speaking to me. In these extremely hard years I had no CHOICE but to connect directly to myself and identify and resolve underlying problems deep in the roots of my being. Maybe it took years, or even for me decades to do, to unwind those hard issues, but in the end I am so much happier and able as a person. Everyone wants to run away from the anxiety and bad feelings, but covering them up isn't the solution. It's just living a half life between meaningless surface level thoughts, and ignoring the person underneath. Anxiety is a tool you can use to strip away the bullshit and grow as a person. If you have the courage to get through total collapse, face the worst parts of yourself, and see out the other side, it puts the power in YOUR HANDS to be happy in your life. Not the world around you. Not if only this, or if only that. The situation you are in now. You don't get to choose what happens to you, but YOU get to choose how you want to frame it. Getting through depressions, addictions, and mental disorders has shaped me into the person I am today. If I had just dropped pills and thought nothing of it, I'd be like all of my other friends who are still stuck in the same loop of avoidance and haven't moved forwards. You really need to sort out what your true thoughts are. The reason it never works for most people is they have no idea what "real thoughts" are and what surface level bullshit buzzing around your brain is. There is a difference. Just because you feel bad or are CONVINCED that "something" is the reason for why you feel bad in the moment, doesn't make it true. It takes a LONG time to really sit down and sort out what is truly important, and a lot of that process is not easy.

Substance-induced ego death is incredible, but the stress-induced one had me grace death - and the euphoria afterward from the brief relief I had was something else. Strive for value, you're worth more than money can buy. Duncan Trussell suggested in a JRE podcast a while back to give what you can, your time and effort, or your possessions you don't use or need, your love will go a long way for someone who might need it and in turn, you will feel good making someone else feel good. Might be of some help? Stay strong! You are worth it.

To someone who has benefited from the experience, this certainly could seem like a minimization, but to someone who has never considered these concepts, minimization and focus on the positive is required to get the wheels turning. A full set of psychological lectures does not appeal to someone who has never considered that their core is flawed and/or that it can be repaired. Even arguing for or against (or both) your argument would be rather cumbersome without a lot of minimization. And I only argue because I too see minimization as a tool too often used to support toxic viewpoints, but to ignore the utility of a tool… I’m basically accusing you of minimizing minimization lol
