I can tell you for a fact that the cupholders were an after thought. I was an engineer on this car just after it launched and remember my job one day going to every luxury car dealer surrounding Crewe to see how their cupholders were done! Glad none of the bits I designed were classed as quirks ;-)

Not many people know this, but the engine was completely redesigned apart from reusing the crankcase, by Cosworth in Northampton UK. Was originally a single turbo and very outdated with 7 separate v belts driving all of the ancillaries. When it was changed to the twin turbo, pretty much everything else changed in order to make the power and meet emissions. Still a push rod though as Bentley still wanted it.

When the transmission starts slipping, you're faced with the dilemma of spending $9K overhauling it, or selling as it is for $9K.

I have driven this car a lot living in England. The info system is designed for the owner sitting in the rear. At the time the remote was very cool. Its position in the middle of the dashboard was a complete pain as it blocked the kerbside view for the driver. The seats in my local park are more comfortable, Cornering had no feel what so ever, and you would be very nervous in the wet. You will tire of it in a month!

As a middle and high school kid in the early 2000's, I remember seeing this car in just about every hip hop music video from that era.

In some countries (at least in mine, Czech Republic) you must have spare light bulbs of every type in your car (every type that's used in the car, of course). And a spare fuse of every size. That's maybe why there were the bulbs in this car.

I need to put the record straight I bought my Bentley Arnage T for £20,000. about $28,000 a year ago It is in a beautiful Moroccan blue colour and I have done 24,000 miles in my first year the cost has been minimal in terms of maintain and in my opinion it is the most magnificent car I have ever owned they only 2400 of these beasts and approx 1000 RHD to put it in terms of appreciation likelihood this is a car to invest in so too. those petrol heads who keep mentioning cost of repair I am an owner and when driven as an everyday car it will serve you well if left sitting in a garage not driven I think it will stagnate and cost a lot ,Well anyhow great Video Doug keep it up

That pattern on the metal is called machine turning if I am not mistaken. The metal might be stainless especially where moisture might be expected to come into contact.

The location of the front seat cup holder is a deal-killer for me. I don't think I want my coffee under my elbow where I can't see it, might not even be able to reach it. But I like having picnic tables in the back. Reminds me of a Fleetwood I once owned.

Doug, I owned a 2004 Bentley Arnage T-24 Le Mans Edition, black on black just like this one. I paid $69,000 back in 2010. The car was in the shop for 3 months attempting to fix all the problems and when it as all said and done the bill was $31,896.12. Almost half as much as I just paid for the car. I sold it 6 months later when it wouldn’t stay running for $49,000. A loss of $50,000 over 10 months. When I bought my 2012 Bentley GTC the general manager offered to give me another 2004 Arnage as his gift to me in addition to my GTC as long as I only got it serviced here. No deal. Even a free Arnage is too expensive.
