It is like the watchmen but not entirely. The only person who has powers is Dr Manhattan. The other watchmen where vigilantes who could fight like Batman. The Boys the superheroes do have super powers and “The boys” are like the vigilantes. The show was surprisingly good. I binge watched it this past weekend.

big win for amazon, netflix shows have been so crap lately and they just cancel them all anyway. they should stop making movies because they are god awful, and funnel that money into increasing the quality of their shows, the best one they have is the oa and they apparently cancelled that too although there are theories its not true and part of the story

Karl Urban in the pilot is amazing. As well as Antony Starr throughout who was born to play Homelander, giving a spine shivering hero/villain portrayal till the end of the season that you can’t really help but to like.

If I can help it, I would never read the books/comics/manga first, the show or movie is almost always a letdown if you don't watch it first.

There are different economics involved in streaming properties than in theater films. Extension of the series doesn't necessarily speak to its quality. That said, I do hope they do a good job on this.

Utopians Dream Not to you perhaps but just because you think otherwise doesn't count for the rest of us. Good shows are being cancelled and have been canceled in the past after the first season. So to know that The Boys will return for a 2nd season is sweet music to our ears.

I love the satire and sarcasm in this movie. How company makes money out of everything, how someone we respect so much turn to be nothing but a trash, how we compromise our value for a job that demands more than we can imagine in the first place and so on,,,,, Love this movie.

I just watched the entire first season. I loved it. One the best Superhero shows I have ever seen. I hope we get a second season. Great cast, great chemistry between the actors, it seems, and a fresh new take on the superhero genre.
