Hakari's mom being named Hahari is genuinely one of the dumbest and funniest jokes I've ever heard in anime. Imagine you're dating a girl named Monica, then you go to meet her family and her mom's name is Momica.

The fact that there is still chemistry between each other after 26 girlfriends is a huge writing feat that even most sit-coms couldnt handle that many characters. The author being commited to it makes me even more invested on each character dynamic Its not just a love polygon or a love dodecahedron; its a love web with Rentarou in the center of it all Edit: 27 girlfriends [21/12/23] 28th [17/03/24]

This is the show that will make some people realize, "I don't hate harem anime, I just hate badly written harem anime"

Newbies who see rentarou will say “I wish that was me” but those who seen rentarou as a whole will say “I wish to be like him”

The thing that amazes me the most is that the Mangaka wrote an MC with a lot of Girlfriends without neglecting even 1 girlfriend in the show. Its not just a challenge for Rentarou, its a challenge for the Mangaka's writing skills too.

I love how self aware this show is and absolutely doesn't take itself seriously, which works in it's favour. No cringy melodrama, no deep, thought provoking story, just pure action.

As someone's who's been reading since chapter 1 dropped years ago, I'm so happy this series is getting the recognition it deserves

As someone who can’t stand the harem genre, I kept seeing this manga around and finally, caved. Now I’m fully caught up and love every second of it. It’s just so wholesome, the love, the friendship the absurdity of their hardship but also solution, everything’s so over the top but the messaging shines through without ever feeling forced or cringe. It’s a manga you can read any time of day knowing it’s going to be a good time

Speaking of 4th wall breaks: there's a chapter in the manga where it's stated that Rentarou worked as an assistant to Nozawa-sensei (the manga's illustrator) to ease her workload since drawing so many characters in every chapter is exhausting but she still insisted on drawing all of them. My man litterally became a Demiurge God incarnated in a world he partecipated in creating, all to show his gratitutude to his own author for showing all of his girlfriends equal love and care. And as she has stated to be Rentarou family herself, some say Nozawa-sensei is actually one of the 100 girlfriends (possibly the 100th), which would make Rentarou a multiverse level boyfriend. I seriously don't know how anyone could ever even think of topping this Man, at this point.

What sold me on the series at the beginning was when Rentarou was talking to "Best Friend A" only for him to never appear again, and from that I immediately saw that the author knew what he was doing

One moment that cemented this as a literal peak of harem animes was lap pillow moment. Not the one when he extended his legs, but the other way around. At that moment i knew - this is the true Titan of all harem animes. And Chadtarou is it's uncontested Champion.

This is the harem series where you will simp more for the protagonist than the actual girls.

This show is so surprisingly wholesome. Although I legit fell out of my chair when he pulled the mom.

As a manga reader, I was really really really doubtful when the anime was announced, but after I've seen the firsts episodes they really really really nailed the spirit of the manga

Fun fact: the author of 100gfs recently did an interview with Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-Sama author), and in it he revealed that they've already begun thinking of the 100th girlfriend and her concept

When Gigguk said that "harem anime are sports anime in disguise" I ascended to a higher plane of existence and had all my past lives flash before my eyes Avatar style because I have always loved sports and competition in all its forms and I never realized that my enjoyment of romcoms, love triangles and harems stems from the same instincts.

The last chapter of 100 Girlfriends includes an interview of the author with the author of Kaguya-sama, and I just realised reading it how similar both of their works are. The whole interview is basically : *Game recognizes Game, and Gags recognizes Gags.*

I love how new fans of the series start with "This mf is lucky" Then we have the veterans going "THE GOD EMPEROR ATTAINS AN NEW QUEEN" And some even go "WHEN HE GONNA ADD ME TO HIS HAREM!?"

Fun fact: in the latest chapter in Mangaclash, there was an interview between the Nakamura(author) and Aka Akasaka Sensei, where they are discussing about the current developments as well as asking some future related questions Nakamura sensei said that the already have the bullet points for all 100 girlfriends Edit2 : the new chapter has an another interview, where Nakamura sensei said that Hahari is supposed to be the first antagonist with hakari having an older sister with the harem, but they reach some realization and combine them both, thats why Hahari is just currently 25

Props to the author for making some characters paired up with others they haven't yet so you can see how they fare well with each and everyone of their growing bunch

This anime has made me laugh out loud so many times. I was completly blown away that I was actually entertained by something I was expecting to enjoy as a guilty trash watch. The humour is fun, not japan specific ecchi cliche humour common in this genre. This anime made all other seasonal romance anime (Love is War, Tora Dora , and the like are exeptions) unwatchible by comparison. I was surprise that Gigguk also picked it to do a video about it, but I am happy that it can now be recommended to more people.

This video is genuinely a masterpiece. The music choices is absolutely insanely hilarious especially when the danganronpa music came on I died laughing. You can tell a lot of work went into making it so thanks.

This manga is the epitome of the classic Gigguk quote "sometimes it takes a real man, to become best girl." Because as the 100 girlfriends community says, most harems you want the harem. This series you want to be part of the harem.

This anime really was a fun surprise of being genuinely entertaining and funny despite the initial impression the title and synopsis gives off. This series is very self-aware of its identity and takes full advantage of it and plays off the genre in new and interesting ways! I was surprised by the dedication to making each of the girls have an unique personality and features and the MC is a genuinely good person who deserves happiness.

I think I just watched this video get age-restricted in real time. I was in the middle of watching it when suddenly the age restriction popped up in the middle of the video. I thought it was a part of the video, but turns out it really got restricted.

Everything about this show makes it the masterpiece that it is The story is absolutely amazing. The comedy is unapologetic and it isnt afraid to do crazy things. Every girl is unique, interesting, entertaining and deep. The art is fucking fabulous. The characters get new clothes, new hairstyles like every other episode and they all look amazing The anime adaption is brilliant. Bibiry animation knocked it out of the park. The animation is beautiful and the music is amazing The voice actors are amazing, as always There isnt a single aspect of this series that is half assed. Every scene, every frame, every panel is given the upmost love and care and it really shines through

I intended to watch this show self insert style, just because I figured I could. I know Rentarou's pain of unrequited affection, though im sitting at almost 50 not 100. I start watching and color me shocked when this show was goated. Not only was it funny, not only was the fanservice on point, and the girls on point...but the MC had a personality. Also I've been in a poly relationship before so one of my favorite things is that the girls have chemistry with eachother too. It's honestly ridiculous. This is the goat of harem anime.

This show is perfect because it drops all attempts at being serious and presents a fun story instead. You can tell why all the girls love Rentarou and are willing to do the giant harem with him, he’s just a giant gigachad. Bro knows everything about all of them and goes so above and beyond it’s crazy. Love the manga, and the anime has been a fantastic adaption.
