The happy medium is somewhere in the middle of the 2 countys' systems. I was born and raised in England but have lived in California for over 30 years.

No it's worst. UK is one of those post colonial countries with old laws and woke stances that are not updated to fit the present world. Backwards like their model of government

There are several countries where justice system is f*cked up to the core. Countries like UK, Canada, and Australia are the worst and ducked up to the core, when showing compassion to the criminals. A rapist gets to walk free on parole after 3 years of good behavior. A murderer gets to walk free on parole after showing good behavior of 8 years. These punishments are a slap on the wrist of criminals, and humiliation to victims families and their loved ones. These laws were manipulated and re-written by scumbags who were criminals themselves. No sane human with even an ounce of respect for human beings would have ever come to the conclusion of writing such dubious justice system. Our laws all over the world needs to change. Criminals should pee in their pants to even think about the punishments for the crimes they commit.

My younger sister was murdered and her murderer only got 25 years for first degree murder. I don't think that was enough time. Unfortunately, here in Canada, the most time anyone can receive is 25 years. Anyway, I couldn't imagine how it would feel if my loved ones murderer got only 12 years. Even life in prison isn't enough for taking a life.

a friend of mine had a beautiful wife a center fold, he was this short chubby guy but they shared real love, it on a July day in 97-98 Vickey was 8 months with what would've been a son she was followed home that day my friend lost his entire world, because of that animal he cut her throat she must've went into labor the boy laid next to her body still attached by the cord, that animal used a meat cleaver to remove her legs, why did he kill her because he had a leg fetish security cams caught him tresspassing as he threw her legs in a river he got 50 years, yet was free within 10 for good behavior, my friend joined his bride in 2017

The ‘Possibility’ of parole after 12 years is just that… a possibility! Let’s hope those considering him for parole are of the same mind and soul as the rest of us and refuse his parole request time and time again into his old age!

This was premeditated. He was wearing white air force 1s on the bus back home from school, but changed into black vans. The only reason he did that was because he knew blood would show less, but little did he know, that they'd still find traces of Ellies blood on them. He's a monster, and that sentence is a joke.

'7th grade' might have meant year 7? Unless they met in year 8? 7th grade = year 8 and year 7 = 6th grade. Secondary school starts at year 7. also 'parallel tracks destined to collide' would not work lol. Parallels never meet. Perpendiculars do though.

People really are the worst.💔Hiding behind online names & making mathematical errors and assumptions about what school year is which. And using anonymity to dogpile. Hyper focusing on details to suit their ‘humour’ while showing their obliviousness to the fact that a 17 yr old girl was murdered in her own home. All prove that there are more sociopathic individuals in society than previously thought. How about offering condolences to Ellie’s family and friends. Show some dignity and respect.

@r.r.6863 i dont find anything funny about it? And im not hiding behind anything. This is just my youtube account. I just think it's important not to spread misinformation. Also, I'm autistic and it's often difficult for me to ignore errors like that. Especially when it comes to things being needlessly americanized. She was british and went to a british school and used british terms. This is a british case. Its disrespectful to americanize everything. I have also actually given condolences to her family and friends before in a more direct way. It's just not on this one single video they likely will never see or read the comments of. You do not know me or what i do or say in other places online. Perhaps dont assume the worst of everyone on the internet at all times over a single comment. Not everyone is a monster. Maybe you need to stop watching things about criminal cases and go out into the real world for a bit instead of needlessly taking offence to someone attempting to correct misinformation on something where correct information is important.

U did make mathematical errors. Her school year is not the same as a ‘grade’. Stansfieldtom dogpiled by making glib comments about boyfriends in the group, which was inappropriate of him. Glad u offered condolences, that was very nice of you 🙏🏻 sorry I judged ur username. Stanfield should offer condolences too. Not sure what ur referencing as americanized. Murica is nothing to do with me. I watch a variety of shows including true crime. The best episodes are when the perpetrator receives life in prison! Is it ok if I @ u a really good episode? @r.r.6863 in america school years are called grades which is what i meant by americanized because they used the term grade in the video to explain what year of school she was in, but the uk has never used the grade system. Unfortunately, a lot of videos made by americans change british terms to make it sound more american but they dont always get it right. There's not any mathematics involved, just the equivalent terminology for what stage of schooling she was at.
