Ah loved this very good Master Raven very good. The Astrea bit was pretty nice aswell. I could see it being what she'd say or at least in the vain.

I love Gaius. I think it’d be neat if he was the Antagonist in another Legend’s story. Just a Darth Vader esque man charging at them through a battle.

Wow. A villain story, I did not expect that. Although a very sympathetic villain that actually is an interesting case study of where a character’s circumstances make their virtues into a fatal flaw. A savior during wartime becomes a hawk (or wolf) during peacetime. Another neat thing I noticed was that Gaius’ confrontation with Merrick had some shades of Brutus killing Caesar as immortalized by Shakespeare. Our viewpoint character willing to kill a man he once called friend for betraying the values and oaths they both swore by. Only where Caesar was horrified by Brutus’ betrayal, Merrick was remorseful that he died his friend’s enemy. Consider the fact, Sir Raven, that I can draw a comparison to the Bard in your work!

I don't know what to say. I am with Gaius personally, but if I were to see the bigger picture I am with Merrick... This is a beautiful way of telling conflict between 2 characters!
