Plato was not an author who wrote fiction, but he would have conveyed his knowledge in parables, having being taught by Socrates. Love this.

Atlantis was located where the " Eye of the Sahara " or Richat Structure located. It fits all the details that Plato describes. It was an island off the west coast of Africa. Plato said it had elephants and giraffes. The color of the stones in that region matches his description. Plato said that in the center of the island that poisidon provided a source of fresh water. The fresh water source is there. Plato said you could not get to Atlantis anymore because it was impassable. So it didn't not sink. It was swept away by water from the inland sea of the Sahara. The Sahara sea literally pushed everything buildings and all into the Atlantic Ocean when it drained into the ocean. The sand from the Sahara sea filled in the water between the island and the African coast creating a new coastline. This created a scenario where the area was probably was covered in a few feet of muddy waters for maybe centuries. It was a impassable muddy mess. You couldn't sail a ship in that mess. You can't swim in mud. Plus, there is an old Greek map that shows the location of Atlantis. The map shows the eye of the Sahara is the spot. The map was draw up by the greek father of history, Herodotus. Herodotus map shows Atlantis as an island beyond the pillars of hercules off the west coast of Africa. However, Africa's coastline was different than today because there was water between the island of Atlantis and africa. The water and mud eventually dried up and the coastline became what it is today. The Richat Structure,is a prominent circular feature in the Sahara's Adrar Plateau, near Ouadane, west-central Mauritania, Northwest Africa. Sahara was home to some of largest sea creatures, study finds. The sea was 50 metres deep and once covered 3,000sq km of what is now the world's biggest sand desert. That's why you find evidence inland from the coast for miles that area was underwater. 12,000 years ago the Sahara was not a desert. The Sahara was not even a a desert 8,000 years ago. Atlantis disappeared around 12,000 years ago around 10,000 BC. Topography of the area matches all descriptions. The mountains, plateu, etc, all match. Plus, Plato gave the exact dimension of the rings of Atlantis. The Richat Structure dimensions match up perfectly. Plus, certain minerals that Atlantis was known for are found there also. When look at a view of the Richat Structure from space you can actually still see the impression of the tons of forceful water had on the land. The region looks blasted, rubbed, and scarred by water. It shows the direction the water flowed when it came thru and over.

This went way deeper than I thought it would. I never knew the theories of extraterrestrials, hybrids, extinction events and the conscious universe all came from Plato!

They said that Troy was a work of fiction too, but it was eventually found. So one day, Atlantis will be found!

As a Ham Radio Operator, I communicated with another ham radio station in Mauritania, a country in Northwest Africa. Situated in Mauritania is a Richat structure called "The Eye Of The Sahara. This structure consists of concentric rings much like The Capital city of the Atlantean Empire as described by Plato. Another striking thing in this area are what looks to be marks in the earth made by running water, so that the area appears to have been flooded in the distant past. Interesting to say the least. Well well all I had to do was watch a bit more of this video and it would have mentioned what I already knew.

I was surprised to find so much similarity between Plato's conclusion and the beliefs in Hinduism, such as all soul being part of a universal energy (brahman) and even the mention of intervention in human evolution by more intelligent beings . But it is logical, after all Greeks have had a massive influence in Central Asia and India. There is also the mention of the great cataclysm that resulted in a world wide flood. But that is also mentioned in the bible as the great flood.

Is it really a coincidence that the area where Plato said Atlantis was coincides with where the North American Plate, Eurasian Plate, and the Azores Microplate, as well as the Azores-Gibraltar Fault, all meet?

My collection of thought is that Atlantis was all over the earth. Plato describes specific things that are found in different places. That’s his way of telling us that. Atlantis went under water because the whole world did. He’s describing the flood from Noah’s ark. ❤️

So what if Atlantis wasn't a single city? What if it was a description of a civilization with many cities? Perhaps those cities were built in a common configuration because it made sense to do so. Alternating rings of land and water instead of outer and inner castle walls, might afford great defensive capability. Sea rings, if done correctly, might also be a great source of food and recreation. They certainly seem big enough. If done correctly it could be a great way to dispose of waste, human or otherwise. Desalinization (far enough away from the waste water ducts) could have provided drinking water during dry times. I wonder what the salinity of the Spanish site is? Anyway.... Graham Hancock says we're a species with amnesia. I think he is right. I also think there are certain power structures that want to make sure we never wake up. That's what keeps me awake at night, among other things.

Aztlan/Atlantis WAS mentioned in ancient texts beyond those of Plato. Specifically, the Codex Boturini and the Codex Azcatitlan speak of the island homeland of the Aztec people and their migrations after the island Aztlan sank beneath the sea. Few have made the connection, oddly enough, but the texts are describing the same place.

What an excellent documentary! I enjoyed following your logic very much! Personally, I have always wondered how the Atlantic Ocean was given its name ? I also feel it was situated in the rings of The Sahara desert, surrounded by the ATLAS Mountains. There must have been a waterway to the ATLANTIC ocean. When the earth was devastated the city could have been covered with a huge amount of silt just as Gobekli Tepe has been, which also dated to around the same time, when the devastation struck it! Only a little bit of it has been uncovered! I think Archaeologists need to go and dig deep there! To me that makes the most sense!

Solon's story, obtained from the Priest Sonchis of Sais, as passed down to Plato described an Island measuring 3000 Stadia from east to west and 2000 stadia north to south. That's 340 miles(e to w) x 230 miles (n to s)! with 10 major cities on it...originally ruled by King Atlas and his 9 Prince Brothers. The Island was described with an amazing fertile elongated plain in the middle, ringed by a 1250 mile canal and with mountains around the edges and a central canal ringed capital city on a hill in the middle of the plain. Now...look at the Azores...and then also look at an underwater terrain map and an ocean depth chart of the Azores right out to the mid-atlantic ridge...there is a submerged plateau underneath the remaining Azores islands that pretty much exactly matches the shape and description from Plato's Timaeus! It's time to fully excavate City of Sais (never done), on the west branch of the Nile, just south of the shore of the mediterranean - to see if any of the original historical scrolls still remain, or the enscripted Temples can be discovered there. Most likely copies were sent to the Library of Alexandra, but those were destroyed. This story is too important to mankind...

I have been extremely intrigued with the story of Atlantis since I first was told about it about 40 years ago. I have always wanted to know where it is located and have reviewed every new and old possible location for Atlantis. I am convinced that the location of Atlantis is the Richat Structure or Eye of the Sahara in Africa!

What if Atlantis still exists. But in an alternate reality, a paralell universe that Plato had accidently visited. Or Atlantis was a huge mothership of alien visitors, and they simply took off.

Fiction and fairytales have been used by the Ancient Greeks such as Plato, Homer, Aristophanes and many many more in order to introduce higher wisdom to their audience in a quite comprehensive manner.
