When I saw this and lifted this laptop up at the apple store, I was shocked how light the laptop was, like 900 grams or something, this laptop really would have been something if it wasnt for the butterfly keys failing and the processor just dying due to overheating issues, I genuinly think apple could now do this because of the M2 chip producing way less heat than the intel one and with even more battery life and thinness plus a keyboard that dosen't fail, I really hope they revive this series of laptops, this was my fav laptop lineup

Even M2 generates too much heat for the MacBook. Something like an A16 chip but with more ram would be required

Meh. The $1,250 runs circles around this thing despite its small SSD. Would buy if Apple made it a bit cheaper. Like $1200, or at least cheaper than the MacBook Pro base model. After all this is the “successor” to the affordable and used to be awesome MacBook Air.

All my devices are Apple, but I would NEVER buy this MacBook. Your comment is too recent so I can say that It seems that you've been living under a rock and you know nothing about the performance of that particular model and how horrible Butterfly keyboard was.

@@jomaix I owned that MacBook, back when I was a student who only used Office, that performance was all I needed, and coming from a Windows laptop with very small and uncomfortable keys, I actually liked the butterfly keyboard (but later I did experience the sticky keys problem). Later however as I started editing videos and learning Swift, the performance just wasn’t enough and it overheated very bad. Then I upgraded to an M1 MBP, and I love that machine. Imo the 12” MB wasn’t that bad, but it wasn’t good either LOL

This is the most beautiful MacBook ever made. I have one, I am going to keep it forever. The new MacBook Pro 2021 is thick and ugly with useless legacy ports. The post Jony era is really a disappointment. Design over function is the right path, otherwise there is nothing to innovate.

They are doing what the customers want rather than what they think is right for the customers. The ugly MacBook is the “pro” model, the air is still thin and light. Also I think Apple’s commercial’s quality has degraded, nowadays they don’t make these kinds of videos.
