Today we’ll go back millions of years to the epoch of prehistoric creatures and monsters.
We will observe the first animals venturing on the coasts of the primordial continents
in search of new habitats. Then we’ll witness the rise of the most well-known animals of the Mesozoic - dinosaurs. Reaching the topmost point in their evolution, they passed into nothingness giving way to the new masters of the Earth - mammals. Millions of years will pass before our eyes, with majestic mountain peaks rising to the heavens and little creatures populating the entire planet and giving rise to thousands of forms.

Hello! Your videos are always amazing, and I had an idea that might make them even more captivating. How about creating a video that begins from the viewpoint of our Milky Way Galaxy? Exploring the universe from this starting point would help us appreciate the grandeur of space beyond our own solar system. Starting from Earth is common, but by beginning with our galaxy, you could show just how unique and awe-inspiring the Milky Way truly is. It's a perspective that can open our minds to the vastness of the cosmos. I can't wait to see what wonders you'd uncover from this cosmic standpoint!

Super volcanoes are fun to learn about. They are cool to watch in simulations. I however would be just okie dokie if I live my life without any direct experience of a super volcano. @@simulatedpilot3441 true but the chance of a super eruption is less than 10% in any given decade. So if I can avoid it that would be my preference. Maybe I'm just not as tough as you are. Yet I see the experience as more than daunting. Breathing glass particles, the loss of driect sun light for an extended time. The ability to grow food to generate power to travel. Dealing with the extended cold. I've been through some shit. I have survived anything I've encountered. Yet the experience has always been limited. Spending a few nights on a mountain ridge in sub zero temperature. Planning a 3 or 4 day journey that turned into 11. Needing to hunt for food every day along the way being sure your water is not killing you. Knowing what is edible and what is deadly. I can do these things. Yet for how long. Technology and comfort are addictive. They make you soft. Turning hard overnight to survive may have sounded like just a challenge 30 years ago now it sounds uncomfortable, cold, and hungry. So if I can avoid it that would be my choice.

Very well done overview of a VERY long period of time. Very interesting to learn how many animal species have come and gone, done in by changes in climate that wipe out whole ecosystems or occasional catastrophic events. Then there's the occasional species that's largely unchanged over hundreds of millions of years, like sponges and the horseshoe crab.

No, that's misleading in this video. It's mainly caused by geological and climatic factors. Aboriginal Australians are believed to arrive around 50,000 years ago. By this time, much of central Australia was already arid.
@spyputs660
@spyputs660 3 місяці тому
yes, That land has been inhabited for well over 150,000 years but the Aborigines did lack the understanding of cause versus effect and believed the land would supply them with more animals and unlimited forests, so they used controlled burning to trap and push their prey to another spot. Of course sometimes these fires raged out of control and many, many acres of Australia is now desert. The disadvantage of being cut off from other civilizations and lacking the knowledge of shipbuilding, they did not foresee or become aware of the consequences of their actions until it was obvious and thus too late. Humanity as a whole can take this example of a people just trying to figure out ways to eat and not starve as a lesson that lines of communication between different cultures and languages should remain open, for exchanging ideas lest we all perish from the ignorance of our errors.
