As a dude, I dig purple. In fact a lot of my gear is black and purple. It won't get mixed up with other peoples stuff either. I would totally buy a purple tent, but not that purple. That has shifted a little too much towards the red side and I prefer bluer purples. If they made a darker purple (like the Colorado Rockies purple or darker), I would buy it!

Most Naturehike tents have the option of "20D" or "210T" fabric. There is some technical explanation of these fabrics on the interwebs, but not much practical information (for an average Joe like me). I would love to hear your experiences, opinions, rants or whatever about these 2 fabrics (since you have tested a few other Naturehike products). Thank you.

Slept many nights in this tent and also bought the extra vestibule. Hiked with it for several days in cold weather, just great!

If you have time I have a question about this tent. If not just ignore me, and I will go away 😁. I just bought one... My "bathtub floor" only has one seam going long way. The other side just kinda folds up to make the sidewall of the floor. If I don't place a sleeping pad where you want the fold that side is taller and the floor narrower. If you move it to far then you have no sidewall of the"bathtub". Is this intentional, or did I get a defective product.

Bought a grey one three years ago (it was less expensive then), it is every bit as great value as you imagine, with room for two people plus gear, no problem, and always keeps me dry, even in wet Scotland!

I just got this tent and I love how easy it is to set up. Also a cheap lightweight tent that's big enough for me and my two dogs. In the summer we will leave the rain fly at home and just set up a tarp high above the tent so we get a good breeze as the tent is mostly bug mesh.

I've added the model specific vestibule extension to my Mongar 2, and it turns it into a hikers palace. Definitely a must have for this tent. Cheers!

I've got my purple tent for 2 years now....never a leak...not one leak. Its a bit low for a tall person which I'm not, thank goodness. Setup is super easy and fast. You can actually setup the fly first in rainy conditions and then set up the inner mesh tent under the protection of the fly. Thanks for an awesome channel and I respect your honest opinions. Nice tent which I've put on my shortlist for my next buy. The colour is another matter though and I'd probably end up with throbbing eyeballs, so green it is!

ive been mulling it over for a year, between this tent and the star river 2, I finally chose the mongar because of the extra width and airflow the mesh allows, and the amazon prime day sale from £159 down to £71 certainly helped 😀

You guys make one heck of a great tag team and you're well versed on your presentations. Some reviewers sound like they barely know the product and seem to be reading a teleprompter or a written script; makes you feel doubtful about buying the product. You guys could sell the yellow pages. This tent is super attractive and the purple makes it pop! I doubt I would buy it for myself but if my daughter said she wants a tent for her birthday, I wouldn't hesitate on buying it for her. I would select green for myself albeit lime green.

There is a blue version with 15D rain fly that is about 8 oz lighter than the others that are 20D silnylon. The pink version seems to be 210T polyester and 11 oz heavier (5,5 lbs). There's also an army green version in 210T polyester.

I want to thank you for all the videos and reviews you have done, more and more it has shown me what I want in my channel and how I want to present myself.. still working on my FB page design it is a drain right now as I am also dealing with lower back issues and kidney stone... and the medical industry here in Las Vegas. while not bad defiantly not the best.. the nurses are some of the best, doctors that is another story.. will be hitting the Missouri river at the end of June for a three-month-long solo kayak trip. from three forks Montana to st. Louis Missouri. Just at 2600 miles. give or take ..

Twenty five years ago I bought a three man purple dome Vango tent ⛺️. Even now younger daughter mentions the purple tent when we talk about camping ⛺️. Susie, that tent ⛺️ will be talked about for years. Enjoy it.

My pick on the "doppleganger" tent for the Mongar is the 2007 MSR hubbahubba two person tent. I just set up my one the other day. Same 2 hub 1 cross piece pole. Same mesh inner. Same 2 doors and vestibules. Same outer fly. Same set up of inner first. But yes the MZR Zoic is the similar as are the various MSR Hubba NX models.

Naturehike offers an additional gear shed for the mongar. So two person on a bikepacking trip can use the gear shed for bags, cooking and even sitting when it's raining outside. Perfect. In pink it probably will have a totally different purpose of usage... just thinking (ladies). :D)))

Hello here I really like your videos, I learned a lot from them, I have just purchased and set up a Poler tent. I've did a rain test and have slept in a mild night and ventilation was good, by far the best tent I've ever owned, just wondering if you ever heard of them and would want to do a review

I have this exact tent....and color....and it's amazing! We had an OA Ordeal campout this weekend and we had some bad thunderstorms both nights. Not a drop inside. I only wish it came in a 3 person size.

You can buy a 3 person version of the tent from Aliexpress but it weighs 3,2kg, a little over 7lbs, so quite a bit heavier.

I would really enjoy a little comparison to the Bessport Paraiso 2p, as it has a similar design but only costs half as much. So to see the actual hit in quality you have to expect would be nice.

There is 3 different types of this tent, you guys have the most waterproof version. there is yours, The 20D nylon, 4000 PU. a 15D Nylon 3500PU. And the 210T Polyester 3000PU. I want the 20D for its waterproof purposes of course... but.... the 15D Nylon has better colors, cant lie. They have a nice blue and the Darker Green.... hard decision but I think i'm going with the 15 D Nylon. I imagine it should do just fine, and if there is heavy heavy rain.. ill just put a tarp over. Just some more information that I'd like to share since I've been researching. Godspeed

I've moved to the Tarptent Protrail li for backpacking. It weighs in at 17 Oz with four stakes. Yes you heard that right, 17 Oz with four stakes. I am 6 1" and while I cannot sit up at the foot end I can sit up in it at the door end. It also has a large vestual area that's big enough for your pack and your shoes. I have no idea why anyone would go backpacking with a tent that is more than 3 lbs these days other than cost perhaps. They also have a less expensive version of this tent that weighs in at 26 oz. I believe that version costs around $225.

They would have to give me a serious discount on a purple tent for me to even consider it. I'll give you an idea of how serious of a discount they have to give me. If it was a regular $400 tent in any other color, I might consider buying a purple tent for $5.

Good for you. It's one thing to not like a certain color or bright colors in general for camping gear, but there are some men in the comments who seem to think their masculinity is under attack by fabric 😂

@@TheIamyourmother Hmmm... Maybe it's more about being under the radar. It's one thing to have a green or gray tent. A purple tent is going to draw the eye and cause people to stare far longer than a color actually found in nature. And by the way that's not even a standard purple. That is an obviously feminine purple if I've ever seen one.

I think Comparing the Mongar 2 to the MSR Hubba Hubba NX 2 is a better comparison than to the MSR Zoic 2? I haven't tested my Mongar 2 yet, was trying to get the dark blue with 15d rainfly, but when that was unavailable for a long time I got myself the grey with 20d rainfly. The pink and some other colors have a 210T polyester rainfly, so there are some variants to be aware of.

I have several Naturehike tents albeit not this one but I've not had an issue with any of them,all seem good in the wind & have been 100% waterproof & living in the UK they sure see plenty of both the wind & the wet stuff..I'm sure the Mongar will be no different in respect to standing up to the weather test 🌧️..my only concern is the strength of the poles used on Naturehike tents,I've personally not had any problems but I'd certainly prefer if they used stronger poles & charged a bit more money for the tent 👍🏻

Though too heavy for me and my purposes . And except for Teletubby color . It looks like a good option , and splitting the weight would be a good option . Might ( for me ) make a decent car camping tent . Will be interested in seeing how the test goes ... BG

This is from a 65-year-old who has seen a lot of good and bad during my lifetime. IMO, a female hitting the trails solo is GREAT! With that written, a female solo camping with a purple tent is like a neon sign announcing my gender and lack of back-up. Hopefully, you are packing a small frame handgun like a M&P E-Z slide or a Glock 26. I cringe as I write this however, we live in a world that WE ALL need to be more aware of our PERSEC (Personal Security). Now about the review and tent...Seems like a good value. Pimp suit purple is not a colour I would consider for a tent, but I doubt I was the intended market. I actually don't mind how it looks from the outside, but it would affect the liveability for me having to be inside that thing for more than a few minutes.

I looked up "pink tent" (misrembered the color) trying to find this and got a bunch of videos on how to assemble "princess castle" tents for little kids.
