I hope we get to play as both the landlord and the tenant. While the concept is certainly interesting, I would definitely not want to have to be in charge of an entire building of tenants every time I wanted to play with the pack.

You can be a tenant if you wish to be. You can be a property owner and live amongst the tenants, a property owner and live somewhere else. Or just a tenant if you so wish. Since 2 of the 4 new aspirations focus around that, with one of them being a property owner and the other being a good tenant, since there’s a new fear of getting evicted. Also 5 new traits as well. Generous, Cringe, Child of the village, Nosy and the elder exclusive trait: Wise

This pack kinda makes city living feel redundant though… nothing really going for it now except the city world and karaoke.. since apartments have been added to other packs. And so have festivals

I hope this means the base game update that will be happening with the pack release, involves fixing the family tree system!! There has to be a reason they keep bringing up the whole “how is Johnny Zest related to the Landgraab family?” thing lately.. a family tree rehaul is one of the most requested things I’ve seen over the years in sims groups etc, so it would make sense to make it make sense 😅😂🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I have so many of these lots, that are not fun as they all just use the same space. It doesn't feel real. This will make all of those lots with many small houses, or town houses feel real, not to mention an apartment building. I have one that is not fun to play with as of now. This updates all of that.

It'll be really cool if you could make a building that's like shops on the bottom floor and a house on the top floor, and you get to buy the first and second floor of it so you also get a shop when you get the apartment. Kinda like in Open For Business.

I'm not sure if you're a pc player but if you are, there's a mod that will let you have a functional cafe or store on your home lot so you can do exactly that. There's Salabration

Other examples where I could see it being regularly used include an apartment which is small enough to get the Tiny Home Perks, or The haunted house lot type, or Mixed buildings like a Bowling alley that is also a restaurant and bar.

@@cheetopuff99_ I have a 13 inch macbook pro. I use it for gaming, school, work, illustration and 3d modeling projects, which all demand a lot of storage/utility. No problems so far, lol. Only drawback is that the majority of games don't have a mac version so it's a little limiting in that sense

Yessss!! I have been waiting for apartments for a long time (I tried to build several but they were not functional, of course) I love that there is hopscotch for the children and that we can have fights with the neighbors, that things break, that it is truly a community life! I love this pack, thank you very much for including it in the game ❤️❤️❤️❤️

As someone who has lived with Thais, Laotians, and Cambodians for over a third of my life (in Australia), with a husband who is Lao, and have participated in a lot of cultural things with them (like going to the temple, celebrating holidays, etc) I am so happy to see South East Asia represented! This is really exciting!

As a thai people, i'm surprised about this. I never thought I'd see many Southeast asian things happen in the sim 😂 i recognize many things that relate with thai cultures, ex., like the spirit house (ศาลพระภูมิ) it's really weird yet exciting lol 😆 and you know? With the more recent packs they seem like add-ons to other packs rather than it's own thing(eg Horse Ranch was meant to be with Cottage Living and Growing Together and Parenthood was also meant to be together) and this one seems like an add-on to City Living. Edit:. When I say 'than its own thing' I mean EA had given us something like that before and it is much better quality(for a Sims 4 pack) and the cost is actually alright (as long it's on sale) and it just seems like they are getting lazy with their ideas and are reusing ones from older packs

No the only thing in common is landlords/apartments. This is shared space, the other has separate apartments available by a loading screen. Not the same. And just because Horses are animals doesn't mean they should have been added to the English Country side pack.

Omg! there’s a lot of Southeast Asian stuffs. I saw things from Thailand, Vietnam, Malay Singapore etc. i thought we might only get a Thai Inspired world but this is a good southeast Asian representation. As a Singaporean I’m specifically happy to see the shophouses & the Singapore bumboat at 0:18 !! Definitely getting this expansion.

I've never been more excited! I already build apartment buildings as is and try to manipulate the game mechanics to make them somewhat functional (with locking doors), but it's not an authentic or smooth experience. It will be very satisfying if I'm able to use the lots I've already built.

There's many things here we've had before - noisy neighbors and exotic foods from City Living and we have rental lots in Snowy Escape. Why couldn't they have been expanded upon in a pack revamp? I understand many players were looking to build/manage hotels too. I am kinda sceptical over the trailer's lack of content although I do appreciate South-east Asia getting recognised in-game.

@@sandroribeiro7644 I get that rental lots are for vacations, but the whole idea about renting should be one expansion alone, not City Living, Snowy Escape and For Rent. All EPs feel like GPs. The last EP, Horse Ranch literally just came with horses, goats and nectar making.

i know this is mostly based on thailand, but as a SEAsian and a malay, i related to so many of the stuffs here especially the vibes of the kampung style houses and the marble games, and many more. representation is so important because i never expected to have SEA being apart of a pack, this is so so rare to see for me

We don't often see South East Asia represented in American media, but it's so exciting to finally see it in the Sims! It's not only sentimentally important to me (as my husband is Lao and I live with his mother, her Thai husband, his adult children, and a couple of other Thais) but the aesthetics of these countries' cultures and traditions are so beautiful - it's a lot of fun and it makes me happy to see them in a game! A lot of people who go to South East Asia really fall in love with the countries there. Their eyes light up and they get excited talking about it. In fact, my childhood friends (in Australia) went to Malaysia on a holiday over 20 years ago and never came back!

Would love a South Africa inspired pack. Idk what it would be about but it’s a beautiful country with metropolitan cities but also huge savanna. Maybe a safari themed pack? Or surfing, take inspiration from Capetown.

it's a new lot type so I'm pretty sure if you buy the pack you'll be able to build multi family lots in any world but it won't be a basegame update since that is the main feature of this pack

This should have been part of the City Living expansion pack. That makes a lot more sense because that’s where the roots of apartment living lie. I can see Asian/Japanese fragments being included in this new pack, but couldn't you just sell an Asian Living Pack? If you would understand my way of thinking.

Super excited for this pack! I'm Filipino and while there's been several Filipino references in the Sims 4 already (the Filipino food stall in San Myushuno, the wooden spoon and fork wall decor from Island Living, and the Robles families in San Sequioa), I'm so thankful to have a SEA inspired world.

I swear I can't understand you guys. Everyone always hates on TS4 implying the game is bad/sucks at gameplay mechanics but when there's a new update or expansion packs suddenly all the hate disappear for a moment and comes back after 2-3 months. It's funny as hell
