@Sarah Hamilton yes I can understand what you’re saying, but then again it’s not the interior designers that remove walls, it’s the construction workers. But interior designers do a lot more. They do site analysis, schematic design, which involves space planning, working with floor plans, rcps, creating elevations, section cuts, renders. They also have to create spaces that provide functionality for the user and so on. (I’m an interior designer myself). I do agree though that interior design is somewhat similar to architecture.

So HOW are we supposed to "just take a second to appreciate how they’re saying interior decorator instead of interior designer", when you yourself, Kari, agreed with Sarah, in saying that this career in TS4 seems to be more than just a mere decorator?

Oh, like Sims 3's create a style? Taking that out was literally EA`s biggest mistake with Sims 4. Oh, and then they don't even give us actual matching furniture in most packs. It's why I went back to 3. And, for the record, I'm not hating. I've tried time and again to like 4. I just don't feel it

@@elitedangeroustheworldnext9086 I think the concept of a career-mode presents more challenges to those of us builders who get a little stuck in a rut/run out of ideas. Some games are purely goal-based, and some are more free and open. TS4 manages to harmonise both of these play styles with packs like this by providing the option but not the obligation. I personally think this is the first time in a long while that the development team have released something the players actually want. Or at least, what those of us who are fairly vocal in the community want. I understand why this pack would be disappointing or irrelevant for players who aren’t builders and who don’t see the appeal, though. Hopefully they’ll make something that suits your play style next. Fingers crossed this is a new era.

@@elitedangeroustheworldnext9086 fyi, the sims was originally meant to be architecture/interior design game which was why in the sims 1 and sims 2, they had the “environment” need. The idea is that maxis wanted to make an architecture simulator game after simcity (or was it sim theme park? I don’t remember) became a huge hit, but building with no feedback seems empty, so they created sims with environment needs to be the judge of the house you created. The game ended up appealing to everyone, not only builders and that’s why they ended up scraping the environment need and make the sims franchise a life simulation game. So... it’s not really far off the original concept if sims 4 is actually turning into an building game like you said. Also build mode has always been sims 4’s strong suit, so- 🤷‍♀️

Not talking trash at all, “cooker” is an oven lol separate stove and oven. But yeah I’m actually really excited for this, it seems like they put a lot of really great and really desired content in here.

@@robinfrancois8717 from the livestream, the patch only made lower part of loft beds usable. You can put dressers, desks, and even double bed on it now and it could still be functional. The new bunk bed most likely comes with the pack because it just matches the theme.
