McTigue97 that would have been LEGENDARY. Speaking of, besides the later issues with the arrows, Rosberg was consistently fighting for podiums. I’m seeing more and more Lewis’s move to Merc really wasn’t that crazy. I think Schumi’s underperformance diluted the car. Idk, I mean look at Nico in 2012, the car was there a lot. And now that I’m basically done with 2010, it was even better then. Do you think Hamilton’s move was a surprise?

@@CYMotorsport Schumacher's underperformance? I don't think you saw the season, Schumacher qualified 4th in Australia and ran 3rd until the gearbox failed, qualified 3rd in Malaysia, pole in Monaco, podium in Valencia, qualified 2 tenths off pole at Silverstone for 3rd, qualified 4th in Germany, qualified 4th at Monza, ran up the front fighting for the podium majority of the race in Spa with Raikkonen and Vettel, qualified 6th in Austin when the car was absolutely dreadful. The only time Rosberg had the edge was China, and when he got promoted by Schumacher's penalty in Monaco, Rosberg never ran near the front in 2012, where as if you look back at the majority of races, Schumacher was generally always fighting the front guys who were in superior cars. Schumacher just didn't finish much races because of the poor reliability of his car, and the crash that cost him pole in Monaco. Where on earth have you seen Rosberg fighting for consistent podiums in 2012? Are you sure you actually saw the season?

@@TheNecromancer6666 Button outscored Hamilton across the three years because Hamilton was massively unlucky in 2012. If Hamilton hadn't been screwed by the team's failings he would have won in Spain, Singapore and Abu Dhabi, and he would have won in Brazil if Hulkenberg hadn't hit him. He lost further points by being rammed by Maldonado and Grosjean in Valencia and Spa. Button's only major loss of points from circumstances outside his control was in Italy (where he was behind Hamilton anyway). Hamilton should have been fighting Vettel and Alonso for the title and about 100 points clear of Button.

Just want to kindly share some feedback. The color coding each time you show the championship standings is quite confusing. Maybe this is just me, but I think it would be better if each colors were associated with only a single team/driver from start to end (example: Alonso stays as red regardless of where he is on the standings). It was just annoying having to reorient every time the standings graph showed up. Overall, enjoyed the detailed insight and narration.

I am glad I was introduced to this sport in 2010 by my dad. At the time I was a kid and my favorite colour was red. So, naturally I supported Alonso. I used to be so exited every weekend. I had collected model cars although I don't know where any of them are now. It was also the only sport my mum watches as well. The last time I was so exited was 2016 and now the current 2021 season is giving the bangers I Ioved. But nothing can be compared to the 2012 season.

The season where ALL the champions from the millenium, were present: Schumacher: 00-04 Alonso: 05-06 Kimi: 07 Hamilton: 08 - 14-15 - 17-19 Button: 09 Vettel: 10-13 Rosberg: 16 7 different winners in the first 7 races. 8 different drivers and 6 different teams won races. Midfield teams were fighting for wins and got podiums. A Battle down to the last race between Alonso and Vettel with even more drama to add to it in Brazil. A lot of exciting races. Michael's last pole and podium. A grid of 24 cars and drivers and probably the best grid in terms of talented drivers in the history of F1. This is definitely the best season I've seen in F1. With 2010-2003-2008-2007 up there. The V8 era, from 2006 until 2013 provided amongst the best seasons in F1. It would've been perfection in my book if we had those thunderous V10s in those cars instead. Although those V8s were still insane. The V6T(H) provides the worst seasons for sure. 2017 and 2018 could've been up there but... A competitive mid-field doesn't compare with competion at the top. EDIT: Also that 2012 McLaren is probably the most beautiful F1 car I've laid eyes on. I'm not a particular fan of old F1s from 90s and below, the 02 to the 2013 cars are more my appeal.

@@McLarenMercedes Wasn't even born in that time my friend. The most replay races I've watched were from the 90s, barely know anything about the beggining of the 80s mate, unfortunately. But I saw 2012 live, and it was amazing... Not a single boring race aside from maybe India. Drama, the cars in the field so matched up... Amazing drives by even some unexpected drivers (Perez, even Maldonnado), championship battle down to the last race with even more drama to add in it. Can't think of a season that surpasses this. It's so good that it almost feels like it was a movie...
@McLarenMercedes
@McLarenMercedes 3 роки тому
@@grimm6jack Well, I wasn't even born back then either. But I have read a lot of Motorsport magazines and looked up race results. And why did I do that? During the winters when there was no racing I simply wanted to learn about all the F1 seasons I had missed while either not having been born yet or being much too young to have watched them on tv. But I look up a lot of things, not just F1, from many years before I was born. Music, movies, books, art, architecture, history and sports. Sadly many people can just appreciate and judge what they experienced themselves. Nothing wrong with that but somehow they believe they've got the whole picture when they don't.

@@McLarenMercedes You summed it up nicely, I however also don't have all the time needed for F1, like you, I invest my time in music, movies, series, anime, manga, games, other sports, beach in the summer.
