It's good that he got the right amount of inflation before a big dent formed, with the steel thickness preventing the edge wrinkles. If he had kept inflating, it could have ended up looking like a fortune cookie! But, Bogdan's a smart guy so I'm not surprised it worked first time.

I'd love to see you guys make a shield out of a more lightweight bulletproof composite (a few layers of Kevlar, then ceramic with a steel exterior maybe?) and collab with one of UKposts's big gun channels (Demolition Ranch maybe?) to see how bulletproof you can make it! If you can get something wieldable that can stop 5.56, 7.62, or even 50 cal, I'll be beyond impressed.

@Jushtan I know 50 BMG would be a challenge, but I'm certain it's possible. Edwin Sarkissian did a video demoing 50 cal-rated armor back in early 2020. A 50 cal bullet would def shatter your bones if you were wearing the armor...but what if you were CARRYING it as a shield? I think that would be promising!

Probably because before James ball broke his hand thanks to a baseball going think what was it 90 mph was or was it in kilometres anyways he was able to hold himself up on the monkey rings and do pull ups given he probably weighs about 200 pounds that would mean he He’s able to lift himself up fighting against the force of gravity so he’s incredibly strong compared to everyone else in the shop

for your next shield you should hexagon plate it (you get two metal plates and put a honey comb between, they use this in rockets and planes, this also allows it to be slightly more flexible and also very much makes it stronger. a one inch thick hollow honey comb plate is stronger than a solid one inch thick metal plate, as in same width lighter and stronger. also if you fold the steal you can make it even stronger.)

Hacksmith should build a terminator programmed to get a red bib that the Hacksmith will wear. The HACKSMITH can use any of his builds he has made over all the years to defeat the terminator and prevent it from getting the bib. That would be awesome! Who agrees?

This video is twin-best-shield-video along with the electromagnetic Captain America shield, for materials other than the fiction metal vibranium, Taskmaster has his shield constructed from an Osmium Alloy and is not as nearly as indestructible, but with a few more field testing's using both science on physics and quantum physics and D&T, the Osmium Alloy could be enhanced with a few modifications while doing a few extra field testing's

Fun fact: the hydroforminf is a way to see if the brazed materials are strong enough to withstand the pressures it would face and if it forms bumps and/or starts pumping up like the video it obviously fails, the pressure test

assuming HI has a lathe- you could also carve one out of a solid disk of steel, it would be more rigid and you would be able to have it thicker in the middle

i would've welded the other half of the hydro formed shield that was cut off to the main part making it stronger

Thats assuming the hydroform lead to 2 almost identically shaped halves which isn't likely. Also steals very heavy and that would double the weight

You guys should try to make a actual shield from the movies where it is a 100% bulletproof ( can withstand any bullet ) but can also come back to you kind of what like jlaser did. It would take time but it would be awesome if it worked

11:36 anyone else notice that you can literally hold your bare hand up to it and be fine. Those are designed so that you can do it similar to those plasma ball contraptions

How strong would a shield made out of Ti-Au be? I've read its supposedly 4x stronger than most steels (and a lot lighter its atomic mass is about 49.945 where stainless steel's mass is 58.71) But I haven't had any luck of finding any strength tests or videos of it anywhere, it'd be awesome to see you guys test it out to see how much of a beating a shield made out of Titanium Gold would be.
