The way he sings on this track reminds me a lot of the trilogy era. Where he would switch between chest voice into falsetto all of a sudden, I feel like that conveys so much more emotion like he bursts into it from the way he's feeling. He doesn't do that very often anymore which is what i most miss about his old songs.

I waited almost 3 years or 4 for this and I'm not disappointed. LEGEND.

Whole album is amazing but this song is by far my favorite track because I relate to it at the moment and the instrumental, vocals, and the steady speed up and slowing down of the beat sound so heavenly. This song is underrated compared to the rest of the track list I assume because the title has interlude in it, people tend to skip over interludes but they’re definitely missing out on a gem with this song.

Imagine these three songs have been masterfully planned such that the actual order of the songs could also be reversed other than the conventional order here is an example: ●After hours ●Blinding Lights ●Heartless Think about it, he first leaves the show in *after hours* and gets his glasses(drugs) forcing him into a life of darkness, rage and hatred. Then in *blinding lights* he goes into a stage of enjoyment and reflection on his new stage in life. Then in *heartless* he loses control of this enjoyment and goes into a spree of all negative activities:Casino, more drugs, alcohol etc..
