This podcast really helped me. I suffer from debilitating anxiety. Agoraphobia. And hearing Morgan say hey face it. Deal with it. And keep living. I almost canceled my hair appointment bc of my condition and I said screw it. I can do this. I can leave my house and be okay. And you know what? I am!

@@itscharliearthur9094a book I found helpful although it simply states the obvious was “Do it Anyway” from an author who spent 30 years in therapy. The idea being just go do your life despite your depression. Action, doing this, getting busy takes time away from lying in bed and going down the rabbit hole. And as you do things you ACTUALLY get better, just thinking about what’s wrong and what you COULD do or SHOULD HAVE done differently and finding things and people to blame and excuses for staying idle just drag you deeper in the hole. Trouble is once you’re way down there it gets really really hard to just brush your teeth. Ask for help. Ask a friend to give you a couple of days to get up the ladder far enough that you can keep climbing out of the hole. SRIs can stop the ladder rungs from breaking underneath your feet. Wish you good luck. And look up at the sky. There’s heaven above you.

I totally disagree and I have no great love for Piers Morgan. This is a completely different format, it's long form ( literally over an hour and no ad breaks save for Steven telling us about the "journey" he's been on with Huel ) This type of podcast is about finding out who the person is, it's not supposed to confront them or be combatative. A program like Piers one on Talk TV is a completely different format, it's short segments usually about something very specific or topical. If you let the guest talk unchallenged they'll just filibuster, especially politicians who literally specialise in talking for hours whilst saying nothing at all usually. All the sad Tate fanboys were outraged that Piers had the temerity to challenge their hero on the utter bullshit he trots out, which he did a horrible job of defending for anyone remotely objective. Which I consider myself to be far more than the guy above in this comments section given I find Piers tiresome and irritating every bit as much as Tate. But actually in that interview where Tate would just have gassed on endlessly, having Piers challenge him was effective, particularly his ridiculous semantic gymnastics dodge rather than either just owning what he said or saying he no longer believed it. Either of those would be honest responses, not the one he went with which was classic victimhood bullshit that you're so misunderstood..

Why don't you try and get some knowledge before you write a comment if that's supposed to be all that about all the people in Britain, or worldwide, because what you've written is a lie. My views are basically exactly the same as Piers Morgans, albeit probably mine are on a softer version, and I didn't need reminding about it because it's with me all the time, so stop thinking you know everything about everybody because you absolutely do not, you have a hell of a lot to learn just with the four simple lines that you've written, and thats "simple" in the context of "not that bright".

I never thought the day would come when I agree with Piers, but I'm really glad he's speaking up about cancel culture. I find it very disturbing. How can people believe they have the moral high ground when they're so full of hatred that they take delight in destroying the lives of others and incite others to do so too?
@Buymycourse2day

Because bigoted people are equally as loud and full of hatred and take a delight in destroying the lives of others and incite others to do so. I believe it’s not an issue of the cancel culture since both sides do the same thing. Humans are just trash and we’ve always controlled each other. We can only hope we go more or less the right way 👍

I agree. I think he has put himself across in this interview in a much calmer way than he usually does. The way he is usually so sensationalist is what turns people away from him, and people don't to listen to him. I still don't agree with all of his opinions (which is entirely what they are, rather than facts), however I would be more inclined to listen to him speak if he always did it in this way

The second AJS in a row that has to be put right: "People" written as you wrote it means everybody in the world, as you don't specify exactly who you mean, therefore you're stating that everyone in the world is that way, and that's obviously crazily bonkers and most furthest from the truth. All you have to do is add the word "certain" before "people" and that would be good enough. But having said that as for your main part of those specific people who have become that way, on the moral high ground in their own opinion, and think they have the right to be like a new Adolf Hitler or Benjamin Netanyahu and knowingly try to destroy peoples lives at their pleasure, for a sick few hours of entertainment for themselves before they go back to their own self-made depression, like my previous Doctor Christopher Longstaff tried, then yes you're absolutely right and these people need to be destroyed IMO.

Jo, Jo. I respect your view totally as I have friends who are teachers and who are fed up with the apparent world view that teachers have to make up for all of societal failures by filling in the gaps of absent or inadequate parenting. However, I do believe that given the amount of time children are in school compared to the time spent at home, I am wondering if there is any merit in some of the life skills that Piers mentioned that could be taught at school - not by teachers perhaps but by other adults ? Perhaps volunteers could run a programme for this? I have met wonderful retired people whose chaotic childhoods were turned around by a teacher who went above and beyond and who steered them onto a more positive path and who would be willing to give something back to children who may benefit from such a programme. After all, it does indeed take a village to raise a child. Regards to all.

So very true about stress. We all get stress just need to learn how to handle it well and to our benefit instead of feeling sorry for ourselves. I think today’s generation is ill prepared to deal with it though. I am glad i grew up when stress wasn’t even talked about. It wasn’t a thing like now. We just dealt with issues as they came and took them in stride. And i can say i have never seen people on medication like we do now. Young people on antidepressants. Unheard of. We are creating crutches for dealing with life issues instead of showing them how to handle life’s situations and that they are normal part of life and no need to be medicated to deal with them.

What he says about mental health vs mental illness is true. My mum has suffered from horrendous mental health issues my whole life and is now confined to a secure care home at the age of 62. I’m so so sick of people claiming to have mental health issues when in fact they are just having a bad day or worse, are using mental health as an excuse for their behaviour or lifestyle. I know a number of people who have absolutely done this so I won’t be convinced otherwise. It’s normal to feel stress, sadness, anxiety, fear etc… that’s life! If your job, relationship, appearance etc… is making you stressed or unhappy then change it, don’t just jump on the mental health bandwagon. It belittles and undermines those who have serious genuine problems and gives the perfect excuse for people who want to place blame on something other than themselves. It’s also stretching mental health services to breaking point when they should only be used by those who genuinely need them, not people that just can’t or won’t cope with life’s ups and downs. Sorry but that’s the truth in many cases.

As a problem.. which will decrease our mental strength..instead of acknowledging it and getting past it.. as a part of life.. which by no means do I mean disregard it.. but instead confront it head on understand why we have these feelings and work out a way to get rid of it.. and carry on moving onwards and upwards to succeed in what we want in life..and beating that certain issue or hurdle we are all going to go through in some way, shape or form.. and be proud that we can get through our mental problems xxx
