I raised a baby squirrel that fell out of the nest I had her for 6 months. And then I let her loose into the wild. They are sweet as can be but they are destructive the older they get.

Exactly what a beautiful story and my friend Lori in Texas the same thing happened to them that they cut down a tree and there was more than one score I don't remember how many but I don't think they came back after they left😢😢😢

I love his little hands! 🩵 You guys are so sweet with him. He knows he can trust you. I so appreciate you posting your adventures with Frederick. I’ve loved squirrels since I was literally an infant. My Mom would take me for walks in the carriage and then the stroller when I was able to sit up. ‘Squirrel’ was one of the very first words I learned to say! I still talk to them and feed them. 😊

Beautiful! Raised a Fox squirrel at college in the grad student lab which we rigged with outdoor access. He moved onto the quad & liked to drop out of trees onto my shoulder. It definitely attracted attention. I guess it was the 1980s’ version of having clout? 😂

He’s so cute. I love watching squirrels and used to feed them in my old house even though many in the neighborhood hated me doing it. They got upset at the peanut shells. My new neighborhood doesn’t have squirrels.

I raised a baby hairless squirrel when I was young and he was one of my favorite animals I ever had. I could let him go outside and could call him back too, he was awesome, and so is Y'alls buddy too.

Wonderful rescue story! And I have a very soft spot in my heart for squirrels too...they are just so cute. I have even helped many cross the very buys roads around here by telling them to cross or not cross those roads and they seem to actually listen.

I worked at a company that had loads of wildlife surrounding it. Every year I would gather up all the acorns dropped by my 2 acorn trees and store them. I'd take the acorns to work and five them to the squirrels. I'd sit in my car eating lunch and they would sit on my windshield and sunroof until I finished lunch and fed them. I retired and miss these times so much.
