I love how gentle the demo part was. Most times when you see renovations, workers are just swinging away to break everything off. This was nice to watch. Amazing job with the transformation!

I am a firm believer that unless you take it down to the studs you are simply putting lipstick on a pig. It's still a pig. Rot, mold, etc could soon be noticed. Do it right or get lost. Excellent work in this video. I cannot find anyone that will keep an appointment to provide estimates - therefore I do not trust them to ever do anything near acceptable work.

Our home was also built in 1961 and the kitchen was still living in that era-but it was actually a great sized kitchen. Since I loved the layout, we kept that the same. That was so nice when it came to measuring and demo. I adore my kitchen now! It’s large, practical and pretty!🥰

I'm gettin ready to have new kitchen installed from the floor tile to the back splash. I can hardly wait to replace the old kitchen that was built when the house was built 1938. I'm a workaholic, and I'm gonna do my own demo, but this dude in video is makin me tired just looking at him. I'm impressed.

that was amazing! great job! taking the backsplash up to the ceiling above the sink was a great idea to make the space look even more grand. mine has just painted wall above the backsplash, not to mention the window isnt even centered between the cabinets. i imagine everyday that having the backsplash up to the ceiling would help distract from my asymmetrical window spacing. anyway, good job seeing the whole project through! it must be super overwheming at times looking at all the work ahead, but you pull through and do a wonderful job!

Was looking into redoing my ceiling with drywall instead of drop ceiling and was told I need a drywall hanger/lift, and here this man just screwed two blocks into some studs for leverage lmao amazing work my dude! I kept thinking you'd start putting in the new parts and then you'd replace the fricking wiring or something lmao you really took it to the bones and built it back up again. That's quality work that you can't get nowadays.

I tuned in after visiting my childhood home which will soon be for sale. Nothing has been updated, which was great bc it rekindled many memories from the 1960s. The kitchen would need a complete overhaul, however. So I watched this video and really got a grasp of the amount of work involved. Wow! What a dedicated master artisan you are. There's a lot more to it than they reveal on home remodel shows. Thanks for the amazing video.

Wow, wow, wow! This kitchen turned out amazing! I couldn't believe that over half of the remodeling you done by yourself. I thought you were going to reconfigure the kitchen layout but kept it the same. It looks like a totally different kitchen. It's bright, airy, and looks bigger since you removed that portion of wall above the cabinets. And the cabinetry is just beautiful. I love the colors and the whole esthetic of the kitchen. It is now a functional area. I love the under cabinet trash area and that utensil drawer that slid back to house the cooking utensils was just ingenious. I will be glad when I'm able to do something like this to my kitchen! You done an awesome job sir! 👏

Omg....this looks FANTASTIC!!! I'm digging the smooth camera maneuvers!! ❤️❤️💪. Wanted to tell you I learned about the metal plates that are on the studs to protect from drilling into a wire. I was trying to drill last year (before I found your channel) and got pissed off that the dang drill bit wasn't going. Then I tried doing a dang plastic drywall hanger and that stuoid thing wouldn't go in either. I ended up putting hole filler in and mowing over a few inches. Freaking wished I found your channel last year. Would have saved me a heap of hastle. Thanks for the teachings you do in some of your videos. ❤️❤️

Thank You for using my idea of wrapping the counter around towards your back door and adding a top cabinet for a base! I noticed the cabinet was used as a drop off before the counter top was installed. I love how you added the extra touches on the end of the cabinet and the top cabinet above it. Thanks for the close up of my idea for the cabinet at the end of the video. I like that Mrs Fixer placed the coffee maker next to the stove. Congratulations! Sir, you’re an awesome craftsman! I absolutely love the results. It’s a small kitchen but for someone my age (62) is wonderful because efficiency and beauty was NOT sacrificed because of size. It’s funny…I first watched your renovation with the bedroom time lapse. It’s was the music that kept my attention and how neatly you kept the project. Now, 2-3 years later I’m enjoying the music as well as the content. The music selection is 🔥. Never underestimate the power of music. Great reno and I know you are happy this is complete.
