@@vagabond0078 they do exist. Samsung actually made one. It cost around 200$ and it is actually pretty useless. So yeah it exists, but it doesn't.

Eh. Hud reflected off a glass plate. The LED eye illumination (cosmetic external lighting) can be filtered out by throwing a righthand circular polarizer over the LED, and left hand circular polarizer over the eye. Even better? Left hand on both, and a quarter wave plate inside, *and* a RHCP film over the display. Except the display probably already has a polarizer unless its DLP, so you'd have to see which is what and work from there, so you wouldn't be pumping light out your eye sockets if you wanted to go stealth mode. *shrugs*. Oh, and the circular polarizers and quarter wave plates come as essentially cling films for tens of dollars per square foot.

Hey Hacksmith, this is a late comment for the video and you probably won't see this, but I am an avid programmer and I think I have a pretty cool idea. How about using facial recognition to overlay a crosshair on faces? I see you are using Python, OpenCV would allow you to implement this feature very quickly and easily. In fact, I made up a program to do exactly this using input from my laptop camera in about 40 lines of Python, I think it might be a must-have feature. I know you're busy, you're doing awesome work! Can't wait for the next update.

Its still more dangerous than a phone. There is nothing between his head and the batteries making it easy for them to get damaged and possibly punctured so it could explode.

@@jon.... you will feel it heating up first. They don't just explode without getting hot, plus you would hear the battery making a noise, that would be amplified due to closeness/proximity and being an enclosed space. Plus, if something was to puncture the metal helmet, it has the potential to puncture the skull. Forgot the batteries. They could also attach temperature probes to the batteries and the pi, that warns about battery overheating.
