I met my now wife back in late 2005, while we were both single travellers, meeting briefly , by chance , on a trip to Jordan, and walking Petra on Christmas Day... We eventually got together, and have since travelled the world, to more than 100 countries since... Our retirement has been a blast, influenced by my many years of guitar playing and singing. Always been a Sting fan, but more so as when my wife and I had some difficult years before getting together before I retired, a close friend gave us this song as 'our song' and it has been so ever since, and Ive had the privilege on a number of trips to be able to perform this to audiences, and especially dedicate it to her... Always our song, one of the best, from one of the best song-writers of the last few decades.... Happy memories... for ever.. !!

This song reminds me of my sister. She died when she was only 7 years old .I was eight. I remember everything like it was yesterday. I know în my heart she is now in heaven with the other angels. I am sure she watches over and protects me everywhere I go.

Dear Sting, I am writing a book for my son who has been separated from me (his mother) in a cruelty called Parental Alienation. My only baby is fifteen now. Over two years ago, I chose this song, its lines to start each chapter. Since the book isn't for businees, rather a mother expressing her depthless love for her only child, to which thousands of pages of court documents, and 12 year custody ordeal, winning by verdict even at the Supreme Court level , will testify-- I hope using your song, its lines to express love is okay. Life does not give me guarantee that he will ever get to see his mother, feel the warmth of her love, the truth meant to hurt none, but for him to understand his childhood upon which his adulthood falls.
