On April 21st, 79 people were evacuated from Mariupol to Zaporizhzhia. The Ukrainian side hoped it would be possible to take out many more Mariupol residents, but the Russians scrapped the preliminary agreements on "green corridors" and released only three buses.
The road, which usually took up to four hours, this time lasted 22 hours for them. Mariupol residents arrived in Zaporizhzhia tired, exhausted, but happy. On this day, for the first time since the beginning of the war, some people charged their phones, heard the voice of their relatives, and sincerely burst into tears.
