It's possible the person who made this video is from the UK or somewhere around there. Their crochet terminology is slightly different than America's terminology

Tks MaryEllen. I was wondering about that. The screen said sc but I knew it looked like she was working a slip stitch.

You s/c the first stitch, the slip stitch to the last st, s/c last stitch.

I got confused about this as well! It says on top to do a sc, but the sc is only the first and last st in the row. I’m doing this one right now and I’m doing it the way it’s shown…sc, slst to the end and finish with sc. I hope this is correct.

Slip stitch. I was thinking that as well. Those are slip stitches, not single crochet.

Strange? The first stitch she does is a single crochet, but then she does like you said the slip stitch.
