This demonstrates the difference between a typical fitting and a great fitting. A great fitting will include an element of teaching. The golfers biggest issue was angle of attack, that swing needed to be changed before the club. If the golfer could hit up with the driver by 2 or 3 degrees then he would gain 20 or even 30 yards immediately. Instead we had the fitter trying to fix the issue by adding loft to the driver. With Tom's speed he should be aiming for a 250 yard carry. Also why was there no discussion about what shaft to pair with the driver head, is that a different video?

He would add 30 yards carry if he would work on his attack angle.

Attack angle -7.9 yuk, this guy could do more with lessons how to hit up with driver which will get more distance

I am surprised that he is wearing a Mizuno shirt and a Mizuno chart yet did not try the JPX 221 Irons or STX Driver. I was just fitted with the Mizuno and did test the stealth, Titleist and rogue clubs. I still thought the method was well done and I liked both videos.

From my experience of watching fitting I find that there is 2 types of golfer. 1 - Golfer who's doesn't want or is interested in changing their swing regardless of how it is and just wants to be fitted into some new clubs. 2 - Golfer who is open to swing changes whilst also being fit. I can only guess that this guy is Golfer number 1, if not and he was open to swing changes then in my eyes this was a bad fitting as the fitter should have addressed his angle of attack, club path and face to path before looking at any new driver. Also deleting all the bad shots just to make the numbers look better is not something that should be done.
