Tom absolutely nailed it. I'm a recovering addict and I know how it feels to have those voices, those demons constantly telling you your worthless, your a burden, trying to beat you down. Your never recovered you always will be in recovery. It's been 4 years and every day is a battle. Hes so brave for sharing what hes feeling for those of us who are dealing with depression and addiction.

I haven't listened to hip hop on the regular since I was in high school in the early 2000s but I discovered Tom a week ago, went on a deep dive, and am now watching all the reaction vids. This video of his does a great job of juxtaposing fighting one's inner demons vs having an internal mantra of being great which is something you need to make it in the rap game.

I'm 54. I have been writing music for the last 7 years. I taught myself how to play chords on a guitar. Everytime I pick up the guitar and write, I fight this. I haven't stopped yet because my devil is also my EGO. Notice how his demon always sings the hook with him. The Best Rapper Ever.

I can definitely relate fighting with the demons in my head. I know he is doubting himself but he just doesn't realize how great he really is. Sometimes we pay attention to the negative more than the positive in our lives especially if we have an addiction to something. And the more we fix ourselves the more demons pop up and try to knock you back down to their level. You just got to get back up dust yourself off and keep fighting!! I relate to this song and have fought battles in my head that have had me at the lowest. I have been diagnosed with Bipolar, depression, PTSD and borderline personality disorder. Life can get hard and I'm glad I found Tom's music. It really helps. I am finding ways to make my weaknesses into strengths. I am also an artist at heart and trying to find my path. Great reaction

I have 2 sisters. All three of us have contrarian mindsets. If someone tells us we can't, we do it just for the sake of flipping them off and delivering a robust I told you so, and of course we are also blessed with the accomplishment, whatever it is...two birds one stone, every time. I’m about to move out of my house and be in my own for the first time, I have a career lined up and I’m willing to work hard. But I’m afraid that the person who’s been hiding inside of me will have no reason to stay hidden, my family won’t see it, but I will and these inner thoughts might drive me insane because I have no reason to keep it down and suppressed. I know it’s natural for darker, self hating, violent and uncomfortable thoughts to rise to the surface, but I’m trying to remind myself that that’s not who I am. But again, I’ll be alone and I do t think I’ll be able to hold these thoughts off for long. I know I’ll doubt myself and it’s hard to keep these vices hidden or suppressed but we’ll see how it goes I guess.
