The one and only Leatherman Retail Store is at the Cascade Station shopping center in Portland, Oregon, and it's a real candy shop for multi-tool addicts like me. Off-camera, I had a great time browsing the store and chatting with the friendly and knowledgeable (and camera-shy) staff. The kind folks at Leatherman gladly gave me permission to take you on this video tour, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Well i have the OHT and i'm not impressed with their cutting quality. It barely cuts 2.5mm² copper wire. Let alone these cable locks.

i have the wave and supertool, they would do it with ease. i can't comment on the other types as the two i have are the only leatherman tools i have used.

FoodOnCrack, I carry an OHT on duty with my VFD and EMS agency with no issues yet. I have cut barbed wire, chain link, electrical wiring and more with no issues.

I don't live close to the store and I'm already broke, ordered several Leatherman tools on ebay over the past few years, some new, some used, and if you can catch the right deals you can save a ton of money. A couple months ago I was at a pick-a-part yard and found a Leatherman Surge sitting on the radiator support of a truck which became another Leatherman in my collection. I'm still missing a lot of Leatherman tools but I'd love to eventually have the whole collection. I daily carry the Original Leatherman Wave.

Leatherman used to make a folding knife with a bit exchanger on it...I just picked up a K503x on ebay for $35. Kind of nice to have the exchangeable bit feature in a folding knife. None of their current knife selection as that option, not sure why they discontinued that feature, seemed like a good idea to me.

Cheers for this. Received delivery of my first leatherman . I went for the Surge. At £140 I’m not going to lie, it’s a little more than I would like to have paid. But the build quality and everything else makes it worth it. Had the top of the range Swiss Army knife, some time ago. Gave it to a friend, didn’t find it practical to use or carry . Leatherman have nailed it.

Yes, but their multi-tools are so common hardly anyone hears about their knives, and honestly they're just another knife since they discontinued the knives that featured the bit exchangers.

I wasn't aware of their line of flashlights. I have a supertool but now that I no longer operate machinery, I find it to be too much tool for my current needs. So, I picked up a Skeletool. Sometimes scaling down to a lighter, smaller tool works the best.

NIce Vid. Looks like candy lane to me. Very cool trip. I wish they would supply us with separate attachments and allow us to change our tools. For instance I would love to put the new pliers with the exchangable cutters in my Surge. I think if they provided a way to change some of their tools around, they would corner the market. I've changed some of mine, added a pocket clip to the blast, but I sure would love to have 300 philips in my Surge and maybe a bit driver in my 300.

I believe that store in Portland will forever remain the only Leatherman Retail Store in existence since that is where Leatherman started. I would love to visit and tour their factory though.

Maglites were great... 30 years ago. Now they're bulky, heavy, underperforming lights that are so far behind the times they're almost entirely irrelevant these days. I have a rechargeable led light about half the size of my thumb on my keychain that outperforms maglites and it cost me $12

The Wave is the replacement to the PST, however they did release a collector's edition PST but they put an astronomical price on it of $274.95...completely ridiculous I don't care what edition it is I will NOT spend that kind of money on a damn Leatherman....I paid $20 for my Leatherman Original PST when it was new...guess I could sell it for $500 since its an original PST not a remake LOL.

They import the raw materials, they have a manufacturing facility in Portland, Oregon as well where they make all the components. Unfortunately no steel plants left here in the US :(.
