The folding hood IS a sign of quality. The hood has to buckle in an accident so that it doesn't decapitate the occupants. Folding is engineered into it.

The hood is designed to fold in the middle in case an accident to shield the windshield from other incoming objects. It is a safety feature :) So the folding hood is working perfectly. @10:00.

Hilux is so crazy because it was massively overbuilt. Toyota made it as a loss leader to edge into the truck market. The looked at all the other trucks in their class, and purposefully went WAY over competitor's specs for the same price. and it worked! the Hilux (and its variants) were so legendary that the brand got overnight recognition and Toyota used that sell normal cars. that's why every other Toyota, including later model Hilux, Tacoma, and 4Runners are NOT this overbuilt.

When we got to Afghanistan in 2002. We needed trucks. We bought a few Hilux. One was blown up and flipped completely upside-down. We put two new tires on it, rolled it over and drove it back to the jcop.

@11:45 old school radios can be good because you dont press a button and have to guess.. hear me out The old knobs where you slowly tune you can do while driving but holding a button you have to look and press lightly But what i remember is old old school with motorised "tuner" set and the knob would spin Anyone? Also yay to A/c Ok so you might not get a hypoallergenic exactly 24c interior but its always a quick cold blast and then you can open windows ... some of the older hiluxes even have the inverted window
