I like the story, but the BAD COMEDY! UUUUUUUUUUUUGH! I thought we were "trying" to get past the heavy reliance of constant jokey jokes. The few jokes that landed will get drowned out in the deluge.

The Cybertron world building and lore looks amazing. The jokes didn't land for me at all.

It feels so strange seeing Optimus and Megatron portrayed like this… Transformers has always been for Kids but I was expecting something a little more somber. This is very Guardians/Borderlands and I’m not sure it’s hitting with OG fans. But I’m sure kids will get a blast out of it

I had to pause immediately after you said animation for adults. I've already seen the trailer, this is 100% for kids. The style of animation, the child like humor. Idk, to me this looks terrible. Ok time to unpause and see what you think.

Man watching Guardian of Galaxy for the first time, I didn’t realize that this was gonna be the future of like 90% of the blockbusters that have come out since. I’m definitely so sick and tired of this ‘brand’ of blockbuster movie and I don’t think this will do well given what happened last year.

Am so disapointed, looks and feels like the smurfs in space. What i wanted was a 1986 Movie but then with the backstory about elite and workingclass transformers. Like the origin story in the comics from Megatron, a slave working in the pits. And life and deaths fights in the Arena, stuff like that.

I like that Bumblebee gets his G1 Toy "Battle Mask" and has his War For/Fall Of Cybertron energon blades. Elita-1 sounds good, and I would have preferred a sleeker car alt mode, rather than a Tron-style bike. Megatron's "H-Tank" mode was expected, but his voice is pretty awful and way out of character then I'm used too. Kind of like how Beast Wars Megatron was in comparison to G1, you know? Were there rumors Idris Elba was supposed to be Megs? He should have been cast. Jason Momoa would have worked too. Orion Pax/Optimus Prime looks and sounds pretty good. Nice alt mode as we've seen the toy from the Amazon preorders, so I like the blend of Siege/FOC/Cyberverse and Animated to his truck and robot modes. The animation looks absolutely stunning!!! It certainly is not in the tone of the seriousness and adult animation that the War For Cybertron Siege/Earthrise/Kingdom Trilogy on Netflix was, but this Movie looks better than I expected, so it may be a fun romp! Keep up the good work, girl! 👊😎🍻

As a huge Transformers fan (legally changed my name to one, who actually appears in the trailer), you’re not missing anything… this was super weak. I’m shocked it’s getting a theatrical release. It should have 100% gone to Paramount+. Honestly it’s a little insulting that it’s meant to build off of the Transformers: Prime show, which is one of the better series. At least from the trailer, Guardians of the Galaxy and Love and Thunder were large inspirations, which is not a good thing… I’m hoping more of the dark and sinister stuff is being held back until closer to release, and this was just meant to get kids excited. Because if this is the entire movie, it’s going to be a huge bomb and another nail in the franchise’s coffin

As a Transformers Fan, I will be taking My Sons opening weekend to see. I'm impressed with the job that Chris is doing with Optimus. Key is Key and always funny. So him as Bumblebee is a breath of fresh air.

Yeah, it's primarily for kids. But... It's actually drawing from a lot of the various established lore and designs of the past incarnations, and doing some good mixing and matching. And as someone who was around for the pre-movie G-1 cartoon, this is really a great tonal callback to the G-1 days. This is how we get kids like my niece to embrace the franchise. I'd totally like to take her to see this, and I'm looking forward to it a bit, myself.

while I’m disappointed that it won’t be a feature length version of the Bumblebee opening scene, I think I will enjoy this quite a bit because of the vibe. Transformers has always taken itself so seriously it’s kind of nice to have something that isn’t so grim. It’s refreshing.

It looks like it’s a kids movie with like 2-4 funny moments for adults. This property will always be stuck to a certain degree, because this is basically a vehicle to sell toys. So they have to skew toward kids no matter what. Spiderverse is there to serve the character and story and merch is more of an afterthought. At lease merch isn’t their only reason to make it.

I appreciate fans of one show/era will not always like change... (I saw the 84 movie in the cinema and remember the hate the Bayverse got from some G1ers) but the success of that series allowed Hasbro the finance to release numerous classic/obscure figures that never would have seen the light of day otherwise.... The live action movies (love them or hate them) had become very messy, storywise, and resetting this movie for a new generation is a wise move.... if it helps us get another decades-worth of product, I am happy with that.

I'm actually happy that this is for the kids. I think we forget sometimes that these properties are for kids. Got to being them in so these properties can continue for generations to come.

Megatron and Optimus have always had these weathered voices even before the Bay films, Chris and Brian don't have that even with the modulation! Also, this looks like Transformers that is made for Nickelodeon like TMNT Mutant Mayhem, instead of something that is on par with something like a Spiderverse storytelling wise.

There's been a lot of reassurance that the movie's going to be a lot more played straight and serious. It's just becoming obvious that the comedic approach was not what this movie needed to draw in an audience outside of Diehard fans (I'm chalking it up to a lot of people only being familiar with Michael Bay's movies and not much else)

Something like Nickelodeon, or anything on Disney Plus NOT named Marvel or Star Wars 🙂...that I would consider kid stuff. This is more like "general audiences".

My daughter loves going to the movies, so maybe I can finally use Transformers One to get her into Elita-1 and Transformers! 🤞🙏

It's not the animation style, but the dialog that makes it obviously aimed at kids. But it's probably going to be canon so lots of adults will watch anyway. I guess it's a movie for kids and their parents.

The actual origins of Transformers in the comics is pretty interesting, it goes to some dark places without relying on gore or foul language for adults. Like the origin of soundwave is crazy, really makes you think twice about your actions towards people so yo7 dont accidentally make a cold, calculating, psychopath alien Hitler

Looks enjoyable, I’ll be taking my kids in theatre as it’s animation style is on point and the jokes land in a way that is fun but not annoying. To me it’s a happy medium, not annoyingly childish but accessible enough to make me want to go see it and not just a babysitter movie.

I love the new crew of The Guardians of the Galaxy.

I should remind everyone that the very first Transformers theatrical movie was for kids, and had a very impressive celebrity voice cast, including Orson Wells, Leonard Nimoy, Eric Idle, Robert Stack and Judd Nelson. I am a Transformers fan from the day it premiered and I will definitely see this movie and almost certainly enjoy it, but I can also see I am not the target audience. The aspects that bother me about this movie isn't that it is juvenile, but rather it clearly adopts stuff from the Michael Bay movies, and I absolutely loath those.

Idk it feels kinda like the DC Superpets movie. While I liked it, everyone else thought it was trash. I don’t think this is gonna be the best robot based animated movie this September lol 👀

It's for kids and some of us grown ups that enjoy this stuff too
