Two new witnesses testify in Trump hush money trial

Defense lawyers also completed their cross-examination of David Pecker, attempting to discredit the former publisher of the National Enquirer who testified about how he tried to bury negative stories about Donald Trump before the 2016 election. Also, President Biden said he would debate Donald Trump, though declined to say when. The former president says he's ready to debate Biden anytime. NBC News' Laura Jarrett and Peter Alexander report.

In the New York Constitution, Article 1, Section 8, it states, "and the jury shall have the right to determine the law and the fact." In this trial Judge Juan Merchan is going to ignore this jury right. During this trial, the jury will only be allowed to determine the fact, not the law. Does anyone think the jury will hear about this Constitutional right? It's not going to be heard during jury selection, it's not going to be heard during jury instructions, the defense is not going to be allowed to bring it up during trial and the judge and prosecution are certainly not going to bring it up! This is a constitutional right the jury should know about!

The candidate for president of the United States must be a person with high moral and ethical values, he must be an example for the entire society, but if the example is that he sleeps with every woman who charges for his services, the example that is given to the society is that it is allowed to betray one's wife, what example does it set for society? Perhaps for an ordinary citizen that does not seem so serious, although it is, but Trump is not an ordinary citizen, and therefore he has the obligation to behave in an exemplary manner. I believe, although I know that perhaps the law does not contemplate it, that he should be sentenced severely for being immoral and trying to govern the United States. And add to that the theft from the state by inflating the cost of its goods to obtain better bank loans. Trump is not a statesman, Trump is a cunning and immoral lout, gullible, irresponsible in his expressions and a traitor to the United States because we well know that he is allied with Putin. A billion times I prefer Biden, he is a statesman. I know he is older, but he also has wisdom and experience, and he knows how to behave like a gentleman.
