No matter who does it. Not a good idea to put your personal life on front street. Im not a fan of Jarod Carmichael and dont think he funny. The idea he attempting to shame his own family into accepting his lifestyle when they have made it clear they do not nor are they going too. Any well respected mental health professional would advise Jarod to live his truth and separate himself or keep his interactions with his family limited. Self care is more important than trying to seek approval and validation when it's clear you aren't getting it. We live in a generation that one validation is dependent on others acceptance( including those who you dont know and never will) When in fact nobody has to co sign your validation as that is about self. But, all this personal information and victim voyeurism/ over sharing is so unnecessary. I personally would never put my family or personal life on front street for all to see. I also, respect my parent's ability to not accept my choices and continue to move accordingly ( self preservation/ self care/ self esteem/ self worth/ self actualization is more important than all else. Jarod should at some point if he hasn't seek help. Also, seeking help isnt a one size fits all and getting help may take years to find some sense of internal peace.
