If this was not documented, we'd never believe it was real. The man came literally from a small village in the mountains of Dagestan, fought for his father's legacy with the goal to retire the undefeated champion and pound for pound best. He achieved this goal for his father and made the biggest sacrifice of his life, to give up his career at the very top, for his mother. What a legend.

such an epic story. Such an incredible legacy....this man could have easily become the undisputed GOAT but decided to walk away when he was at his absolute prime. He went against killers after killers and...many tried to avoid him but he smashed each and everyone who came in his way...MJ, RDA, Barboza, Roided Gliesson, Mcgregor, Poirier and Gaethje, he could've been at the top for atleast 3 more years, but he decided to call it a career. 2016. I tuned in for Conor vs Eddie Alvarez card, Conor going for double champ and Khabib vs MJ was the featured prelim. That was the first time I watched his fight live. He is truly a generational talent and an exceptional human being and I’m so glad I got to witness his journey. 🦅🐐

Khabib was supposed to fight Eddie, but Dana used him as leverage to negotiate with Conor. Which is smart on Dana's side, they're building up Conor their biggest Star. Since Khabib would've beaten Eddie, and Conor wouldn't become double champ at 155. Those who really know this sport, all knew no one was going to beat Khabib.

Khabib Nurmagomedov redefined MMA fighting, took over his weight class, cleaned out his division like he was fighting 12 year-olds, and displayed a level strength training, wrestling, grappling, AND striking that will not be equaled again any time soon. If he didn't want to be hit, he wasn't hit. If he wanted to wrestle, rather than stand and strike, his opponents were simply helpless: he put them on the ground and incapacitated them like they were inanimate objects, stuffed animals, teddy bears. No one ever escaped his grip. No opponents ever got up off the ground after he put them down. He was like a traveling, living, moving embodiment of the law of gravity, like a black hole that simply enveloped and sapped the life out his opponents. He will always be a legend of the sport.

For me Khabib is like M.Ali. A person bigger than just a cage fighter. He reminded us that peiple of old school values still exist who wont sell their honor for the right price. I pray I can be like his father. Not only did he raise a world class champion who will go down as one of the best ever, he raised a man who could resist the corruption of fame. Khabib maintained his integrity even though he became, rich, famous, and powerful. That’s why he’s a hall of famer in my book.
