UFC offered him a contract of 5-7 fights for his same salary. (3-4 fights can take one year or more) That's why he didn't resigned. If he wins this fight his contract extends to 1 fight even if his contract expires just because he's the champ. But then He can have mega combat with Fury. Dream with a mega contract with UFC or whoever he wants. If he loses he would be released or staying with the same or lower salary. Knowing his story of perseverance and risk all he has and his life for a dream, I'm not surprised that he's gambling and risking everything again If Cyril Gane wins he could become a great champion with lucky and his great fight IQ, and maybe dream with a mega fight with Jon Jones, Stipe Miocic, etc, and if he wins all of it, there would be no doubts he would be in GOAT debate.
