In the battle for the eastern city of Bakhmut, Ukrainian gunners are hitting Russian troops with Soviet-era Akatsiya artillery, coordinating their accuracy with multiple spotter drones, they say. Russians are countering with jamming and interference, say the Ukrainians at the controls.

If you have anything they can use, guns, ammo, thermos under clothing, warm lined boots etc there are ways to send all of it. I've reached out to several major companies like Ford to donate 4 wheel drive trucks, the Ukrainians paint them mount weapons and kick ass with them. IDK if they have already or will, but I'm trying.

Since 2006, the GFP Global Firepower Index has provided a unique analytical display of data concerning 145 modern military powers. The ranking is based on each nation's potential war-making capability across land, sea and air, fought by conventional means. Italy Russia is still #2 because it still beats in sheer manpower, air power, naval forces, artillery, ground equipment and defense budget of 4.7 trillion rubles/US$84 billion/ year. In comparison US spends US$801 billion/year for defense. I think Russia's weakness now is logistics, training and unpreparedness for resistance from Ukrainians and resistance to fight from fellow Russians at home..

They should paint the drones light blue. They’d be basically invisible when people look up if they happen to be heard. That drone was particularly loud. An aerodynamicist could clean up designing low noises fan blades.

The M777 is far more powerful than the Akatsiya. NATO and the US should be sending every M777 and every 155mm artillery shell, including Excalibur they have in their inventory to Ukraine. Interesting. I made my comment early on in the video only to see the M777s are backing up the Akatsiyas who are closer to the front lines.

@Jazzmaster Jay Yes. I am aware of that fact. The Akatsiya has a range of about 12 miles. The M777 with conventional 155 mm shells is 19 mi. Excalibur even further and more accurate, yet expensive at over $100,000 a shell.

You're right, 90 units of M777 don't win the war but with 10 000 they could go on offensive everywhere, is it doable? At dawn Ukrainian army usually use Soviet era Self Propelled and Propelled towed artillery piece and even US and West Precision Self propelled and Propelled towed artillery piece . But when night falls Ukrainian army will use numbers of US M142 HIMARS MLRS and M720 MLRS against the Russian forces

Lawyers should be going after Putin's loot and all the other thugs and crooks who probably got their money out because they don't know who will be in power. Slap some lis pendens, certificates of litigation on oiligarch yachts for example. Call a Turkish firm about how to frame the claim in Ukraine. Then hand judgement over to the Turkish firm to enforce. Work on contingency. I'd ask for 50% and split equitably with the Turkish firm and pay income taxes to Turkey.

You can rest assured that the whole spectrum of U S surveillance is used and that info is given to the artillery operators down to the minute and second for precise hits once the drones have geolocated a target.

All well and good. But it's not clear to me that Ukraine can retake all the lost territory. The further you push Russians back, the less land they have to defend. The closer they get to the Russian border, the more motivated they will be.

I have translated a piece of information from a Russian source (a special force officer), related to Bakhmut: @Basically, the (Russian) paratroopers are holding the defence and have prevented 5 Ukrainian attempts to approach the bridges in the city. In the area of Sladkoye, the Russians flew a UAV and discovered a group of the Ukro soldiers in a forest plantation. After that an accurate blow was delivered to the enemy. Closer to the morning, pickups and infantry in the amount of 30+ Ukrainian men were seen, but they were eliminated by ATGMs. At night, the Russian paratroopers stopped the sabotage group in the Yakovlevka area, there is a captured officer. The S-400 missile hit the temporary place of living of Georgian mercenaries in the Konstantinovka area. Destroyed completely.”
