Tasmanian Tiger 3 Piece Mesh Pocket Set Kit Bags
Agenda Free Link : tasmaniantigerusa.com/product.php?id=30
Price : $16
Materials :
YKK zippers
Bug Beater Mesh
T-Cover Tex - that is a lightweight waterproof polyester that is usually used with stuff bags and rain covers
Plastic clips
Sizes :
Sm: 3.75 x 5.75in | 9.5 x 14.5cm
Md: 9.5 x 7.5in | 24 x 19cm
Lg: 13.5 x 9.5in | 34.5 x 24cm
Weights : 2.8oz for the 3 bags
Sm: 0.7oz | 20g
Md: 0.9oz | 25g
Lg: 1.25oz | 35g
Review Pros :
Very good quality
Excellent materials
Very fair price
Colored coded zippers so you can easily identify the bags and their contents.
Incredibly lightweight
Have been very durable so far with my testing - after roughly 4 months of use
Clips on each bag
Bags are see through so you can see the contents
Smooth zippers
Versatile - I’ve used these pouches for all sort of purposes including hiking, backpacking, photography and even biking.
The bottoms of the bags feature gussets so it is possible that they stand up; it depends on what you pack in the bags though whether or not that is possible though.
Great for organizing your gear
Review Cons :
No zipper pulls
Because these are mesh bags one will need to be gentler with these than with some other bags. Speaking of which, TT makes other pouches who are stronger and I will be reviewing those soon.
Summary :
For the money, these Pouches from TT offer a really good ratio of quality, durability, and versatility.
TT is a company that I am beginning to explore and while testing these I have been testing some other gear bags and even a backpack.
So far I am very impressed with what I’m seeing here and everything that I have heard from my viewers has been very positive.
Going back to the bags, there are plenty of storage bag options on the market today, I have reviewed many and these are just as good in many ways...these are also less expensive than many that I have reviewed
Thumbs up

I am definitely going to buy these. I will look them up as I would also like to see if they have a similar set without the mesh. The material on the back is pretty waterproof and would be a bonus to have a set with it also on the front. Would be great for one of my canoe camping trips!

I have a medium size one and mine also has what I call my medical bag. Yes "commodium" is always a must. I have a suture kit as well. Came in handy once. Hatchet accident due to ignorance on my part. 4 stitches that fixed me up till I got to the ER. I need to get me some more of those bags. Mine is passed its prime but served me well. Appreciate you and Susie! Stay safe. Love the journey my friend!

I use the exact same packs for years, they are VERY rugged, no babying at all needed. Of course, having a chisel or an open blade inside is a no-no. I have nothing but praise for Tasmanian Tiger. Can´t wait to see what they come up with in 2022... ;-)

Your title on this one seeded a few thoughts/memories Luke. Firstly, UL: have you reviewed any Outdoor Vitals gear? I haven't seen it if you have; secondly, in a recent vid the OV crew was out with another yt-er and a the plot line was a "mystery pack"- it must have had at least a dozen and a half various bags inside each with gear ( including 5 jackets=UL of course, and R&D)- well organized and truly astounding how much UL gear they got into the overnighter pack. I'll add for your members: they specialize in as few needle punctures as possible on all their gear, so their gear has some miraculous properties.

I did go the Tasmanian Tiger website and found one store in Albuquerque that carries their products, but not sure if they'll carry this specific product. I will check with them when there open and reply/repost. Thank you as always!

This bags would be Great, if there where made of the backside material complete, so no Mesh. Material and zipper looks kind of water resistance, I don't understand why they missed this opertunity by punching Holes in it. Didn't found a 'NoMeshVersion' so I maybe getting this Set. The Clips are an awsome feature.

I like the look of these Luke but with the mesh not being waterproof, how would you stop things like first aid kit plasters etc getting wet? While it's good having one waterproof side to sit on the ground, I'm confused as to why the mesh would be required at all? They look great quality though and they sell them here in Spain so will take a further look. Thanks!
@Mart687
@Mart687 2 роки тому
The mesh makes it easy to see what's inside the bag and where the item is that you are looking for. Stuff you want to keep dry at all times can be stored in zip lock bags inside the pouches. But I understand what you are saying. No backpack is 100% waterproof unless you are using like Ortlieb drybags. So make compartments any way you can. Keeping vitals dry like clotching, your sleeping bag, food. If 1 compartment fails, suck but the rest is still good and not everything in your backpack is wet. You can use trashcan bags on a small budget and double up on that. Or buy drybags from brands like Ortlieb. I've got several Ortlieb bags, some older then 20 years and they are still waterproof. If there's a hole in it, take it back to the dealer and Ortlieb will fix your bag and seal the hole and it's a good as new.

@@Mart687 Hi Mart. Thanks. Yes, I have an osprey backpack and it's not waterproof, so I tend to use waterproof stuff sacks for my essentials. I do like these mesh bags though I have to say.

I have seen some of your videos (and I like them very much although I do not hike/camp), but I still do not get why you do not insert conversion of length unit (from imperial to metric) into your videos. You do insert conversion of weight unit, so why not the lenght unit? :-) It would be much appreciated :-).

I made a solution for my tweezers that have a very sharp precision angled end on them, using duct tape. (They're around $20-$25 used in professional care) I use them every day and if ever i get a splinter, or tick, or something embedded in my hand, or for repairs, it's endless.. Oh and u know those couple eyebrow hairs that always seem to be in a constant state of mutiny trying to escape to the side of your head? um lol yea. i hate those. they gotta go hahah and if i ever lost these tweezers, it would be priority to get more immediately. They're that critical for me daily. Always in reach when i'm bushcraftin or chopping wood/ hiking/ pretty much anything. Like having my Bic lighter, main fixed blade, water bottle.. flashlight. food. and Tweezers. Super important main components on Or off trail. So- I created a tiny sheath, using black Gorilla Tape and shaped it so the pointed end can't poke through, and there's a loop and latch at the top that secures it. The Tape is durable to last a lifetime and the perfect grippiness. It's so funny and strange, it took 5 minutes to make, is so simple, took no thought almost whatsoever, looks like some accessory you would purchase, is basically free almost, but is now completely indispensible, (must have on me at all times!) Now i can have these deadly pointed tweezers anywhere with 100% confidence. my pocket, backpack pouch, little bivy sac etc. I apologize to anyone who tries this, and discovers the world of Duct Tape items you can actually build, since it is so addictive 😂 Wallets, cases, pieces of kit and clothing items, hats, holsters, straps, ground mats, coverings, tarp like objects lol.. rope bridges.. umm.. actual boats lol (yea someone made a duct tape boat that functioned.) It really is nuts the things people make! But the little tweezer holster would be perfect for any of those sharp pointy things you have- then for sure just toss into these little mesh sacks confidently. and u be good to go! Plus the best thing is endless customizability since you create any shape and functionality from scratch. xD epic stuff tbh

Why the hell would you need zipper pulls? Use your fingers! You have hands, not paws...
